Florida being old man Paramount and Illinois/Chicago being Showtime makes sense NY loves them some Bravo so Peacock makes sense too
Has anyone seen El Cid -- I know of that he's considered, IRL, maybe the greatest knight of all time. Hadn't heard of this show until someone told me about it last night.
Not going to engage with anyone in an argument or trying to act holier than thou, but the mutual romance between the two characters in Licorice Pizza was weird to me. I don’t even think the movie needed it to do what it was trying to do
The Summer I Turned Pretty on Amazon Prime - It wasn't really on my radar being a young adult romance series, but the TV websites I follow were giving it good reviews. So I decided to check it out and it was surprisingly pretty good. The four main kids on the show are surprisingly good actors given how green they are. Based on a book trilogy by Jenny Han, who also is the one who wrote the books behind the To All the Boys stuff on Netflix.
Terminal List (Amazon Prime, one of the 17 different versions of Chris Pratt shows) isn't as chuddy as I figured it would be. Had some nuance and was probably above average overall.
I enjoyed it. Wasn’t great but not as terrible as I suspected. The ending was pretty bad though. Friend of mine played Liz so that was cool.
Finished this over the weekend. Thought it was really good, with an excellent soundtrack to push it over the top.
The soundtrack was quite nice even though most of that stuff isn't the type of stuff I normally listen to. That Taylor Swift song at the end was a banger
Watching something like HBO completely crumble because they took steps backwards in technology would be kinda funny.
Prey is a Predator prequel on Hulu. Out today. People are saying it is the best since the original. 91 percent on RTs
So what is happening with HBO? Are they getting rid of their movies or getting rid (or not making anymore) of their original content? At the point where either my reading comprehension is so bad I wonder how I managed not dying die due to it or everyone is just yelling loud noises on twitter.
Some stuff on the platform now that you can stream as part of your subscription will only be available for an extra fee. Some stuff is just gone, some future projects have already been cancelled
HBO content that plays on the HBO tv channel and is also available on the HBO Max app is not the same as HBO Max content created solely for the HBO Max app. People are being hysterical about some pretty niche content but it probably is a negative overall.
Prey was pretty great. A bit slow for the first 40ish minutes but from the bear attack onward, the movie cooks.
My wife and I have really liked this one. And it’s scored by Mogwai, which makes it even better in my eyes.
I haven’t seen everything everywhere all at once and I feel like I’d really like that. Otherwise, I’ve seen a few movies and Prey was outstanding
Law and Order SVU has been on for twenty years, there are countless mids who think it’s good tv. I’m comfortable being in the minority on this one. Moafi is absolute garbage. The script/dialogue is weak.
In the middle of Prey (or bear scene), had to stop and google what happens to the dog because I've had some low-key anxiety since it was introduced in the film. great cinematography so far, can only imagine how pristine and majestic this country looked 300 years ago.
