A quick google search shows a poorly defined “genre” that few people agree on. Definitely not basic music knowledge.
She’s listed as lone songwriter on exactly one of the tracks. What a songwriter! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folklore_(Taylor_Swift_album)
I’m just curious how much she contributes vs the producers. The credits to 1989 were worse, there were like 5 names on every song
I'm pretty certain she's always written the vast majority, if not all, of her lyrics. Maybe she's just liberal with her writing credits. Idk. Her lyrical style hasn't changed since the beginning though.
I for one am perplexed devine 4heisman cares so much yet has no way of accessing this work of art by Ms. Swift.
This was discussed itt a while ago. Feel free to go pages back to find it if you want. Bottom line is that she's the primary writer on every song she's released. Sometimes she asks people she trusts for their input on certain songs. I'd say her chosen method has proven to be successful so hate all you want.
I’ve loved The National for a long time so I’m gonna have to check this album out. could be the first time me and my wife like the same music.
She dropped a fuck on one of the songs I was listening to earlier and it made me completely pause what I was doing. Was not expecting that lol
She writes almost everything. She will then work through some items with collaborators and producers much like an author with writing groups and editors
well yeah she is 30+ now and her life isnt a complete mess for once she is happy, comfortable, and with a man and not a boy for once
I’ll stfu. Not here to disparage Taylor. I put artists who write their own material on another level so I was curious about that part of the process
It is great. On first listen it sounds like stripped down girl rock from the 90s: Cranberries, Tori Amos, Mazzy Star, etc.
Not sure which song it was, but I coulda sworn I heard the phrase "mouth fuck" in there somewhere. Gat damn, Taylor. Really good album, though
