Sipping on a shitty Heineken sitting here at the airport lounge. Looking forward to being back home and drink some good stuff! Happy Chrismukkah!
Tripped over a couple six packs of Tropicalia at Publix the day after Christmas. Don't typically see that in stock anywhere...
Sadly I don't have some cool background like some of you but cracked open the 2015 Anchor Christmas Ale this evening. A bit darker than I was expecting and started a little bitter but has settled rather nicely. Looking forward to the 2016 this time next year.
Just locked these babies down here in Colorado. Special limited shipment with like 11 of their beers. Had to stop myself at 3 or take out a loan
Those are all incredible beers. Persistence is like an all time top 3 best beer for me. I have an unhealthy love for cherry sours though.
I love the sound of this. I am also a real sucker for a cherry sour so my excitement level has now gone up
Asheville is only a 2 hour drive for me and I'm over there every few months. If anyone ever wants a few bottles from Wicked Weed or where ever over there, I'm happy to take orders and grab some and ship them on.
Going to be in Orlando for the weekend and want to swing by a brewery on the night I have free, anyone have any suggestions?
Hourglass Brewery in Longwood is my favorite in the area, its a bit north of Orlando proper but not too hard to get to.
Which part of Orlando? Red Cypress is putting out the best stuff in town but its far on the east side.
I was out there a couple of weeks ago. Stayed near N Michigan Ave and did a quick beer run to the nearest 7-11. I shit you not they had BCBS just sitting there on the shelves in singles. $12.99 per. BCBS Barleywine was right next to it. Kinda weird.
I have a couple bottles of each from this year sitting. I'm not checking in bags so can't really bring back any half acre ... I guess I'll have to make most of it while I'm out there. On a side note - going to the privatebank theatre for a 8pm show on Saturday. Any non-red meat dinner recs? I have a reservation at Momotaro for now.
pffft I have no clue...so many options and not enough time. We ate at Texas De Brazil (close to the hotel) and ran a 1,300 bill. I was with a few Asian fellers so we did a lot of our other dinning over at Chinatown. Did dim sum at MingHin...that was pretty sweet.
I just found out tonight, we are staying in the north west part of Kissimmee, towards Celebration. Anything in that area? Even if not a brewery, maybe a craft beer shop with good beers on draft?
Pretty sure Disney has a brewery but yikes that area is a void in most ways. This is all I could find. http://thecelebrationtowntavern.com/beer-club/
Momotaro is excellent. Closer options to the theatre (none as good as momotaro imo): The Gage, Everest, Sepia
Not necessarily beer destinations but in that area you could go to 7 Lions or one of the restaurants in the Chicago Athletic Association.
Don't know if it is good but I enjoyed this last night and the Firestone Brewery. Probably overpriced but why not.
I remember seeing the original thread hype up HopSlam, still never had it all these years later. I see my state is actually getting it, says it ships 1/16. Any idea when the stores actually get it?
http://www.pressdemocrat.com/busine...river-brewing-nears-groundbreaking?artslide=0 New Russian River location. Locals don't really go to Russian River from what I understand so this is an attempt to move the tourists outside of town and hope the locals return.
