Dont know how to embed, but this Goose Island ad keeps coming up on Spotify for me. Kinda twisting the knife with this. https://www.ispot.tv/ad/Avqf/goose-island-beer-co-goose-ipa-hop-fields
Stay sober (or at least stay) until the stars come out and the fire pit is lit. And if you're around when they are open get pastrami at pieous down the road.
Today was a good day in San Fran. Had brunch with the lady, Bob's Donuts, Lombard, Mrs Doubtfire house, Full House house, Presidio Park...and theeeeen Cellarmaker menu All of their hoppy beers were well done but I really enjoyed this BA mocha stout Grabbed a growler, hit City Beer for some pre-wedding fuel and back to chill before dinner. (Sue is from 5/1)
Became fast friends with those guys and got hooked up with pretty much everything on their menu, and even some stuff that wasn't.
Fucking love Cellarmaker. Went there twice on my last trip (was planning to go to Almanac before our flight but it didn't open until 3). That Mocha Vastness sounds awesome. They had an imperial version of their Coffee & Cigarettes porter when I was there and it was just
Dude, that Imperial C&G was kicked today and I was so bummed. I can confirm the Mocha Vastness was incredible. Would gladly give HJs for some bottles of that to bring home. I actually cruised by the Mikkeller bar by accident on the way down and now I wanna go there but probably won't have time.
I know some people shit on Mikkeller but I like it. Last time I was there first night we did State Bird Provisions for dinner and then City Beer Store > Cellarmaker > Mikkeller. Hopwater Distribution up towards Chinatown is solid if you have time.
So I'm at river rat right now. Girlfriend is a local artist and one of her clients/friends is putting on a benefit for the help south carolina autism Academy. She's here with art set up and donating a portion to the charity. This thing has been planned for months, but recently the owners wife tried to cancel it because they're having their 8 year olds end of year soccer team party here at 4. Didnt get canceled. Anyways we come and a few of us set up the art in the portion of the outdoor area that they have reserved at 4 for the kids party at a brewery (the fuck?). Owners wife shows up and LOSES HER SHIT, talking to the guy who put it on like he's a child, yelling at him for not yelling back at her. My favorite was she tried to shame him for not paying to use their venue, like he should feel bad about hosting a charity event. She's fucking psycho Tldr, don't support river rat
I'm going to enjoy participating in this thread Live in CO - we have the best beers in the entire goddamned world.
So you can drink it out of a hideous pint glass? I don't think so. I'm not sure whats more offensive, the fact that you drink craft beer out of a pint glass or the hideous logo
Lots of reasons, mainly because it doesn't accentuate your countertops as well as other more appropriate glass styles
who keeps glasses on your countertops? glasses go in a cupboard sir. countertops should be clear of clutter.
ok fine, for any photoshoots I do have a few sniffers and beefy pints that have been procured from local CO breweries
had this about a week ago. was a limited release. description is on the menu - "Prestige Earth Wide" was very taste
Correct It's a cool place. Feels like a high school science classroom. They have good beers. The "Work from Home" is one of my favorites. Breakfast porter, almost 10%. Fantastic Planet is very good - blueberry IPA. But I don't think they have it on tap anymore.
Nice. I went there earlier this year and really enjoyed it. Didn't have time to hit up Weldworks, which was on my list, but next I will.
Here is my list of favorite breweries in the Denver area- Cannonball Creek Brewing - It's out in Golden. Multiple gold medal winners at the GABF. Local spot for me, so I am pretty biased. But their beers are some of the best I've had. Odd 13 Brewing - Kind of a drive north, but their beers are also fantastic. Odell - Best out of all the big boys imo Call to Arms Brewing - cool spot in a great neighborhood I'd like to go check out Weldworks at some point but it's waayyyy out there. Greeley is basically in another state. If anyone has recommendations for good breweries around the Denver area, let me know. I'm always looking for a good one to try and will give full reports.
One of my friends run the taproom at Fermaentra. They have a lot of styles on draft so it can please many palates. Highly recommend trying it.
Nice, I've never heard of it. Kind of a catch 22 of living out here. We have almost 500 craft breweries in the state. So much diversity and so many good ones, but there are always great tap rooms around that I've never been to or even heard of before. First world problems I guess.

Been on a bomber kick recently. I was a fan, not too sour and pretty tasty. In fairness, I'm a fan of a lot that Evil Twin does. Also had the Rogue Paradise Pucker last night and really enjoyed it. A good stepping stone as I begin to enjoy sours. Will definitely be repeating both beers in the near future.
