I think I personally drank half of the Paradise Lost keg at Hop City last year. Plan to do so again if they get it again this year
Enjoyed some Grimm Super Shine this weekend, it's definitely a summer beer but delicious any time of year.
Never been to Miami, but J. Wakefield had a pretty good looking party last weekend I think and had a lot of respected breweries there. I figure real recognize real.
I met the guy who owns that one night in Asheville. He was awesome. His partner had just passed away in like a car crash or something and he was driving up the east coast doing beer research/getting away for a bit with his wife. He gave us a ton of stuff and we hung out for a couple hours at hiwire. Big fan of supporting them
First time I had their stuff was when I was in Aruba last year. Craft beer scene is, understandably, limited but went to a few different bars Americans had opened down there and they all carried MIA stuff. Whatever he's doing seems to be working out well. Miami Weiss and Domino hit the spot on an island.
Here's a story from when the brewery at MIA passed away. Seems like he was a really cool guy https://www.google.com/amp/amp.miamiherald.com/living/food-drink/article84960602.html
Drink one now and then one in a year and then one the year after that and then sit on the last one as long as you can. Much more like a barleywine than an IPA
I've got all kinds of stuff sitting in a closet that I can send y'alls way. Or new stuff down here in FL.
