Yeah it’s nice living in a state that had the wine business pioneer in state shipping. Tons of other breweries are starting to ship with GSO that hadn’t done it before.
I tried for West Ashley a week or so ago and it sold out in a few mins. Gonna have to turn on notifications from them.
the take out business for breweries is boooomin' had one place here have to close one day a week just to play catch up. too busy to actually be open.
Not sure what the beer laws are where you guys live, and God knows they can be crazy as shit, but I've heard there's a shortage of crowler cans and bottles. Luckily in FL we can use growlers but with restaurants being able to sell anything to go, they're using the shit out of bottles and growlers here.
I got Prairie Vanilla Noir ($35/crowler) and Fate Shot in the Arm with Coffee (local BA stout, $23/crowler). Between these and the triple IPA crowler I picked up at a brewery earlier I’m gonna be out early tonight.
They've just relaxed a lot of them here, a lot of places are doing to-go cocktails. The beer place is about a mile walk from my apartment so I was going to take the dog for a walk but then it started raining as I was leaving so decided to drive. In AZ you aren't allowed to have even sealed alcohol in the front of the car. Even with the extremely low chances I would be pulled over on the drive home I put them in the back on the way home with the dog. I was extremely nervous he was going to spill at least one of them.
We can do growlers as well. I have a bunch of glass ones I've collected over the years but also have a really nice metal one that looks like a keg (doesn't look like it's 64 oz). My issue with growlers is basically having to commit to drinking 4-5 of the same beer. Mrs. Saint mostly drinks seltzers now so I'm largely on my own.
I have a handful of 32 oz growlers from when Florida had the idiotic rule that was the biggest you could fill...but you could fill multiple 32 oz growlers at once....
Been sitting on it a couple months waiting for a good time, and I decided a random Saturday night was the perfect time.
I have stuff that's getting close to10 years old. I can do a decade vertical of SN Bigfoot. I suspect if we're just homebound much longer I'm gonna say fuck it and start opening stuff.
Somehow there's a packie here that has started getting Bissell. Substance lastweek & a couple weeks ago, Heres to feeling a good time / Lux.
I bought a bunch of west coast IPAs from Beachwood to balance my Casa hazies, got to have a yin to the yang
States arent going to stand in the way of any tax $ that is flowing. The world is getting drunk af as a result. No wonder recreational weed is an essential business in Illinois too.
Not in Massachusetts. But fuckers are puritan hypocrites 5 ways to Sunday. At least restaurants can sell alcohol to go now.
I’m shocked and really disappointed Maine won’t let beer bars do growler fills to go right now Although my body would be wrecked if they did
I'm a little surprised Maine has such repressive alcohol laws. I would've thought one good thing we get out of this is liberaling the liquor laws a bit. When I was at PSU it was novel you could buy beer in certain grocery stores.
Very randomly, a friend just posted about this in our groupme. He lives in LA and just found the Tavour app. I had never heard of it until yesterday. Anyway, 2 bottles of 2015, regular and coffee, $70. Not sure what other options they have or if you can get singles or different years.
