Whatcha got on the screen?
String Cheese is doing a free live stream of a show from 2014. Figured I would save $10 and watch that instead of paying for the biscuits stream
Dead '91 over here. Ship of Fools
I had cheese on for the first 30 minutes or so though because they pushed back the start of the stream.
Got some Brouwerji West stuff in my fridge and might go there next. Love them and the small liquor store that sells their singles two blocks from me.
Social distance happy hour line up
CTownND next time Casa has release order $45 worth of beer for free shipping. If you hate it arrange with me a pickup and I’ll buy it off you.
Parish makes some damn fine brews
I'm sure I'll love it, but deal. Please tag or DM me when the next release happens if it looks like I don't see it and I'll definitely order.
Edit: wrong thing.
A tad old by cunty standards at nearly 4 months *gasp*
I hate everyone who gets Casa because it's not me. I need to get my buddy in LA to go pick me up some sometime.
You can have it shipped to his house, free shipping with orders over $45. See if you can buy a whale pod at checkout and then he can use that to ship to you.
Damn, I didn't know this.
Not too shabby
Happy to send you some Other Half and Equilibrium. Hit the DMs shawty
Good — golden monkey
Awful — twisted monkey
Haven’t tried — sour monkey
I like sour monkey. It's been ages since I've have a golden. Never seen twisted
It’s all on sale at every store around here for some reason
Hate fingering the merchandise in the store during covid but gotta check those dates on anything hoppy. Makes such a difference. Drinking a Coast Hop Art right now that was canned 2 weeks ago
I remember when I was just blossoming into a beer snob and Zack Zedalis said "I can't wait until you won't drink anything that's a month old"
My guy is so wise but he's also 400 years old so he should be
Sour monkey is delicious
Yeah but how many Cascadian dark ales have you drank in your life?
honestly though does anyone brew a Black IPA anymore?
What do most people have as "inventory on hand" in terms of good beer? Do you just get what you're going to drink in the next ~2-3 weeks or stock up for a while?
Asking because I made a pretty decent order from a liquor store (5 500 MLs, 4 4-packs, 1 6-pack) and my buddy who is super into craft beer said it's way too big of an order to make if I'm not going to get through that stuff in a couple weeks.
Gotta order your limit every bottle release bro
Anyone in Louisiana going to try and get some “DDH Ghost” out of Parish next week?
Beach vacation in a glass. RIP Frank
As good as Turning Point is, Celestial is pretty clearly the top dog in DFW for all IPAs and sours. Everything they brew is nothing short of great. Turning Point might still have them on stouts, but it’s close. They brew a lot more of them than celestial does
West coast ipa? Yep that one is fucking great too
Finally got through and got 4 Monkish 4-packs today before they sold out in a minute like always, including two from their collaboration with Other Half. Guess I gotta drive to Torrance this afternoon hah
May as well start the weekend with a 14% BA stout in 85* weather
Stout SZN never ends even here in Arizona brother
Coconut absentium is great. Haven’t had this one.
Dude. Fucking no one. Fairhope used to have one as one of their first 5 launch beers and then turned it occasional. I think the last one I had was a crowler my dad picked up a year or so ago from a place in Mexico.
Oh man my buddy and his dad got 6 bottles with several variants of this. We popped a couple on his bachelor party. For as much as Scofflaw are a bunch of hardos, those were some damn good stouts.
I see black IPA's every once in awhile. Definitely not common though.
They got super popular in like ‘10 and then disappeared.
i always liked them but same, haven't seen one in a long time
think the last one I had was Stone's
also local place is sending beer to Texas, Fair State Brewing. Spirit Foul is fantastic if you come across it texas bros.
This sounds about right. They were really popular when I got into craft beer which was right around then.
I picked up 4 crowlers today at a local place and they had a black ipa on. Wish I saw this talk earlier and would have got it.
Coconut and tropical IPAs are in right now and I’m not upset about it
