I'm really curious as to what it actually was. Some of the stranger guns we've seen on the show I recognize from playing COD (Governor had an AUG during one of their attacks on the prison, there was an FS2000 at the Saviors' outpost that Rick and crew raided) but that thing last night was really odd. I just keep checking http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Walking_Dead,_The_-_Season_7#Rifles.2FCarbines to see when they update it.
agreed, thought it was a good twist on the sasha/holly story arc, lots of the garbage people ended up dying, they didnt waste shiva, rick snapped out of his funk, they arent going to just merge daryl into dwight like i was kind of worried about, and theres a good lead in to all out war without straying much from the source material in dumb ways. there were a handful of really terrible episodes this season, but it finished strong imo only problem i have with the direction of the show is how they are treating eugene, but i guess it makes sense to go this route, too
It was a good episode relative to the season, which frankly isn't hard to accomplish given how shitty the season has been, but it was a pretty uninspiring finale. At least there was finalyl some violence. With next season going into the All Out War comic arc, hopefully the writers get their head out of their ass next season.
I don't follow the comics, but the best part of the episode was the garbage weirdos double crossing Rick. Actually made the episode somewhat intriguing. But then I realized they spent this entire half of the season hyping up some huge war... next season. The tiger fucking up the guy was cool too
The tiger is surprisingly well done for how shitty some of the CGI on this show is. I do enjoy seeing the tiger's "true form" though...
Something I too was wondering as Shiva jumped in and joined the fight was how she didn't just start mauling good guys.
Gun database updated with Daryl's space gun... http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Walking_Dead,_The_-_Season_7#Custom_AR-15_.28Seekins_Precision.29
Yawwnn The Walking Dead reached its not so thrilling conclusion earlier this week, with yet another showdown between the Alexandria group and the Saviors. Rick and his team were prepared for all-out war when Negan and Lucille came a-knocking, but the action just kind of dribbled out over the hour. Rick was made to kneel once more, but it was in front of Jadis, the leader of the Scavengers, who all speak in broken English for whatever reason. In any case, their fight turned into a free-for-all when a Hilltop group and the Kingdom joined in, but Negan and some of his Negans lived to fight another day. Now it looks like the real all-out war will happen in season eight—unless of course, the time jump from the comics makes its way to the show. Showrunner Scott Gimple tells The Hollywood Reporter that he and his writers have been eyeing Robert Kirkman’s leap forward in the comics. There was a pretty significant jump at the 127th-issue mark, which showed us that a real Alexandria Safe Zone is eventually established in Rick’s lifetime. Gimple would only say that they’ve been considering it, but neither he nor Kirkman would confirm its deployment, or how many years we’d skip forward. Although it would be kind of a relief to move past all the Negan crap at this point, a time jump won’t fix TWD’s pacing or characterization problems, so maybe Gimple & Co. should just hold off on this particular storytelling device. In the meantime, more tigers. --- Awesome review here: http://www.avclub.com/tvclub/shots-are-fired-s-about-only-excitement-walking-de-253117
Cant believe they didnt blow up eugene's fatass Also. Remember how stupid it was when carl was shot.. that dumbass kid got his ass bit and that other kid blamed carl immediately as his mom was getting chomped. this show is so stupid
I'm the most casual walking dead watcher there is. I watch when Ive already watched everything else on my list and dont usually expect too much besides mindless entertainment. I just only saw Glenns death yesterday. My question to all of you who are hardcore fans and read the comics etc.: Does this show ever go anywhere? Negan and Ezekiel seem like cool characters but I feel like they do this exact same shit every god damn season. Big bad evil guy that does big bad evil things. Good leader guy in charge of happy go lucky group that doesnt get "how real things are out there" Rick and company eventually get the courage and know how to challenge and beat big bad evil guy and now they run the world. Insert next big bad evil guy kill a "major character" rinse repeat. Like if this all this show will ever be and they refuse to explore the origins of the disease or a complex larger story etc. then thats fine too I just wanna know.
So far in the comic, no. The attempts to establish something resembling civilization with Alexandria and the other communities is really the only manner in which the story has gone anywhere. That story arc gets developed more after the Saviors War, but that part is boring as shit so I don't know how the TV show will handle it.
I have no faith that this show will do anything other than try to place as many eyes in front of advertisements for as long as possible for as long as it can drag things out. I'm biased. I'm frustrated that a show with high potential themes and source material could be so unsatisfying. I still watch because of sunk costs, and that makes me irritable too. This show has more "extended" premieres and finales that are nothing more than an extra half hour to cram in commercials than any other series I frequent. I don't know if I qualify as hardcore, but I have read some of the comics and watch the show with some folks who know more than me. Still felt like I needed to make the distinction that despite some of the potentially awesome stuff available, I feel like the show itself is tragically doomed to disappoint. It borders on trolling it's own viewers at times.
Dude's taking it like a champ in the thread though. Fully embracing his... less than stellar painting skills. Some great Photoshop work in the thread... Spoiler
Sounds like the comic could be coming to an end soon. Article has a major spoiler in it for the comic, and thus potentially the TV show... http://uproxx.com/tv/walking-dead-definitive-ending-robert-kirkman/ Spoiler: Said spoiler... Kirkman has previously stated that he plans to kill Rick Grimes “eventually,” and when he was asked by a fan at SDCC whether the comic series would continue without him, he said, “Yeah, I think so.” He added, “I’ve said before, Rick does not survive to the end. It was years ago, so you guys probably forgot but I foresee there being more story after his eventual demise.” Kirkman didn’t mention how Rick’s eventual demise would affect the TV show, but based on the season eight trailer, Old Man Grimes isn’t looking so hot…
AMC being sued for up to $1b by TWD producers http://comicbook.com/thewalkingdead/2017/08/14/the-walking-dead-billion-dollar-lawsuit-/ Notably absent from the suit are Gimple and Nicotero AKA AMC's yes men. Gimple is the current showrunner (3rd or 4th in the series' history IIRC) and Nicotero was just the makeup/effects guy who eventually rose to direct big episodes. They'll do whatever AMC tells them so of course they didn't join in. As for Kirkman being involved, the first time I ever saw him I pegged him as a guy who couldn't care less about his source material being destroyed as long as he's making big bucks so this still follows that opinion. He just wants bigger bucks.
when does the episode get uploaded to amc.com? i no longer have cable but do have a subscription login
that they quit airing the world is ours commercial now, not sure I've ever been more annoyed by something and I love Maggie
I watched most of it while on the treadmill with earphones on, all I could tell was there was a lot of killing.
