I was hoping the Saviors would start coming down the road and they would have to hurry up and run in to the woods so they aren't seen but then they remember they are wearing fucking rollerskates in a zombie apocalypse and they die.
and no guards at the hilltop, and maggie just running around seemingly by herself admist a colony with what, 30 people? and slow walks the tractor onto zombies made it felt like
I think their guards were actually tied up/hanging from the wall. Regardless, I too am thrilled that the show is seeing its lowest viewership since season 3. People are going to be even more excited for this Sunday's Heath and Tara only episode. Most people will say... who? As they should.
Pretty amazing how bad they have managed to completely waste so many characters since getting to Alexandria.
I honestly thought they were gonna hook the tractor to the car and drag it back out the gates to bring the zombies with them. But that's me being all logical and shit.
Just caught up on the last two episodes. I thought the same thing. Did Carl's gf sneak into the Hilltop? All of a sudden she was there. I may have missed something.
True but it's been even more pronounced since Alexandria because there are way too many characters to keep up with.
Thank you, Walking Dead, for reminding me of the existence of two tertiary characters I had happily forgotten. Then devoting an entire episode to them.
An episode in which a minor character who has apparently survived for years in this world makes a series of the stupidest fucking decisions to create all of the trouble and then escape it magically. Along the way, she convinces a community who has survived out of necessity to COMPLETELY change their fundamental plan which has kept them safe in about 2 minutes using a combination of bad lies and shitty sarcasm. These seriously might be the worst writers on television. I actively root for every character to die who they want me to like. I hoped Tara would get what she deserved the entire episode.
This should seriously be one of the best seasons they've ever had based on the comic book material. Pretty amazing it's turned into shit tier television.
Tara strolling up to the front gate all happy as fuck to be home despite being warned that the Saviors probably took out her friends probably annoyed me the most.
I'm beginning to wonder if he even really gives a shit about the TV show anymore or if he is just content to get a paycheck.
I pegged him as a guy who was in it just for the money the very first time I saw him on The Talking Dead. I actually stopped reading the comics before Glenn died because I could feel it a bit in them at that point as well. And, hey, can't blame the guy for wanting what's best for his family. Shame he doesn't care about his source material being butchered but I can't complain too much since I only ever read the source material because of the show.
I just don't understand why they dedicate entire episodes to certain characters. I can't think of one TV series ever that had big ensemble casts and chose to make episodes like this on a consistent basis. It makes the dragged out stories worse and very noticeable.
TWD has always been bad about that but is getting worse. To me it just shows that they are more interested in making sure they can drag the show out for as many seasons as possible than they are in making it remain a great show.
Within the last 2-3 years an AMC exec talked about what they think the show could look like by seasons 15 or 20. They're definitely wanting to milk it as long as they can.
No way I'm watching this fucking show for 15-20 seasons. They are lucky I am even watching it at this point with the way they have thoroughly butchered this season.
I've never been one to complain about this show but this season is pretty awful I have to admit. Can't say i'm surprised after that first episode though
What a life some of you must live to hate something so much yet devote hours to watching it. Last night was shitty, but I'm sure with the mid season finale coming they will get back to more Negan.
The phone app The Walking Dead: No Man's Land has started releasing "hero" characters that can be unlocked. This week's character is fucking Tara.
Halfway thru the episode and this shit is dumb. I must hate myself for continuing to watch this series.
What the fuck was even the purpose behind that episode other than to shill companies for advertising money?
It was a Simpson's episode. They create all of the conflict in the episode, then resolve it completely by the end. At the conclusion, everything is exactly the same as the beginning of the episode.
I hate myself for watching it live. Never again. I will never give them the pleasure of adding my number to their viewership. Download for life now, this shit is miserable and I hate myself for not being strong enough to stop watching.
Worst episode yet. I hate Tara. The only redeemable thing she has is the two warhawks under her shirt jiggling around. But I bet without support, they are as disappointing as the last episode.
