I didn't mind episode 2. Ezekiel and that whole setup wasn't too bad. Episode 3 wasn't as good as I was expecting. We didn't get a real reveal of The Sanctuary. I was expecting some kind of approach shot maybe as they brought Daryl back to see the whole thing and we just got small bits and pieces here and there. And, unfortunately, just like the prison it looks too sterile. It looks like a set. And I understand the episode was supposed to be repetitive to give you the feeling of how long this was going on for Daryl but they could probably benefit greatly from taking a more GOT-esque approach and show stuff from each of the communities instead of focusing on one setting each episode. Doing an episode or two like that over a span of 2-3 seasons (Morgan episodes) wasn't awful but doing back to back episodes like that... no.
This is the first episode I've watched in >a year. So it's basically a WWE/Walking Dead mashup now? Long monologues from Triple H and Bautista? Just different.
Besides the first episode, it has been nothing but some talking with a few zombie kills. Right now they are showing us how helpless everyone is and they are all doomed.
You can complain about certain aspects of the show, but the acting of Negan certainly can't be one. This guy is awesome. Also, if they are following the comics it's very important to establish Negan and just how powerful he is in order to move forward.
The stupid shit with this show and the all powerful Negan, is that people have an easy way to take him out plenty of times and just don't.
Woulda been cool had michonne pulled some guns out of that busted pickup but she a bitch like rick 'Im gonna try.. sobbb... in our sleeeping bags'
Every episode this season that doesn't feature Negan is a cataclysmic failure. It's the best thing that happened to the comics and TV show since the Governor.
I'm gonna be both happy (I hate all powerful bad guys) and sad (he's the best thing on the show right now) when Negan and the saviors get dealt with.
Spoiler Yes, but they jailed him, he broke out, killed the leader of the Whisperers, and now is an ally of Alexandria
ps, two episodes ago why were walkers and shit launching themselves from the overpass at dwight? wtf was that scene
I think it just happened to be a place where a car had smashed through the overpass' railing or whatever so any zombies who ended up there were just accidentally walking off the edge.
I would love a totally unceremonious death for Coooooral. Like, they're riding down the road and he accidentally falls out of the back of the truck and hits his head, and the truck doesn't stop, and nobody ever even talks about it. I hate that fucker.
The Walking Dead is like being a WWE fan that only watches PPVs and RAW. Every couple months you'll get a good PPV/episode and everything else is mediocre to bad. This should be an awesome time for the show, just like it was in the comics. The post-Saviors story arc is pretty dull until the Whisperers comes along. Can't even begin to imagine how the show tackles it without being even worse than the show is currently unless they just skip most of it.
What was this, the 2nd episode with no Negan? Makes 0 sense. Introduce Ezekiel and don't follow up? These writers are lazy. They know they can have a few good episodes each season and phone it in for the rest.
Dozed off watching the episode and woke with those fuckers on roller skates. I gotta stop watching this show.
