    for an absolutely absurd price.

I'm the biggest Star Wars mark out there with the cash to piss away on this thing and I'm gonna hold off to see some reviews first.

I didn’t follow the construction at all but I guess I expected more of a hotel room and not an interior cruise cabin. I see what they’re doing but man I’m can’t say I’d have any interest in that.

I can remember before they had built the Star Wars rides and they would have Star Wars month at Hollywood studios the park would be filled with middle aged people that had no kids and were just huge Star Wars fans there to see a few storm stroopers March every hour

I can’t imagine how much they’ll pay for this

They will still get some people to pay, but this is getting mediocre reviews at best. It looks so half assed. It's like they had a really cool idea and then stopped trying as soon as they designed the hotel and threw some shit together on the immersion part.

those are he fans pushing back most against this. They were sold a fully immersive experience and instead got a glorified murder mystery dinner.

    meh

Scrapped the 7-day Alaska cruise for 4 days on the brand new Wish ship out of Canaveral around Halloween. . I think 4 days will be enough for the toddler’s first cruise and we can do Alaska just the adults for a way less obscene price. Might do a park day. Little guy will be 3.5 - old enough to make a park worth it?

4 days is great, but if you do a park day, do that first.

First thing I thought of is how horrible it will be to work at that hotel. You will have the most insane Star Wars fans showing up for an immersive experience and talking in accents and movie lines and shit. And they PAID for that level of experience and holy hell would I not want to be caught dead in that place.

No one really knows what percentage of capicity the parks are taking now most estimated it’s like 75-80%. Even though it’s not pre covid level of full capacity, that’s more to do with the fact that they are still understaffed. So with the limited staff 75% capacity will feel like pre covid 100% capacity IMO.

magic kingdom has reached 100% capacity a handful of times ever. 70% capacity is a 7th circle of hell where you can’t take a full step without bumping into someone.

the "limited capacity" thing is kind of a fallacy now

when they say "limited capacity" they mean not 100%, but in pre-covid the only times parks got to 100% were week of christmas (pretty much just xmas day & NYE) so right now it is basically the same capacity as pre-covid

for the most part you're not wrong but there used to be (like 7 years ago) a few weeks in january, february, & september that would be quite low crowds but that's been gone for awhile

Honestly. The only real hope is to wait for a hurricane to fuck up travel and jump in your car. Either you get completely empty parks or ride out a storm in a nice hotel.

I was at Disney a few days before Christmas and it was fine. Sure it’s packed but it’s so very cool. Take multiple moments to just soak it in and enjoy the kids behind blown away.

It seems like you got a handle on eating, the pre order stuff at the parks is clutch especially for young ones who are good with PB&J sandwich. They are all over the parks and you can do the ordering on the cell phone.

I would just read and watch every video on the Genie +/ Lighting lane stuff because I didn’t and it turned into a situation where I was waiting in very long lines. At this point I bet they have videos and blog post about how to use it just for families with small kids.

I’m gonna roll with the go early and then head to the pool in the afternoon strategy. Then if we’re feeling up for it, back to the parks in the evening when things die down a bit.

Easily the best way to get bang for your buck in terms of using hotel amenities and park experience while minimizing line time as much as you really can.

We decided nearly $500 for a single day for a 3-year-old (who isn’t aware the parks exist yet) isn’t worth it. We are going to stay at the All-Star Movies resort the night before heading to the port, so he’ll probably find that to be pretty neat. Anyone stayed there recently?

maybe an alternate park? Seaworld has the Sesame Street area. Legoland maybe too but that pulls you an hour or so further from the port.

This is my opinion but outside of the outdoor decorations and the ease of transportation to the parks I’ve never felt much difference between the resorts until you get the to the Deluxe ones. It’s basically which resort pool and food court you like better. If you’re just sleeping there for a night no reason to pay more for another one.

ive stayed there plenty of times and I’m probably in the minority but I just don’t want to spend $500+ a night on a hotel when I’m only going to be there to sleep, change and head to the parks.

it does perfectly fine for just that

Same. Out of the 4 times I've been to Disney, 2 were off property and 2 were at the All Star resorts. I know many here are all about the bigger/nicer resorts, but All Star hotels are perfectly fine (unless they've gotten rid of the shuttles). Hell, my fiance's family used to do the camp ground with their RV and we've talked about doing that next time we decide to go. I'm all for it. Spend more money on the parks/fun stuff and save on the bed.

Get into art of animation instead. Similar prices, way more memorable. Incredible theming that even a 3 year old should remember.

yeah Arts is our second favorite behind AKL but they've definitely raised the prices. It's like $300 a night more than All Star now unless you're getting the FL resident rate.
