It's sooo fucking hot. Did 7 hours at Hollywood but the kid was a champ and wanted to stay longer Wife and I came back for Galaxys Edge. Nit even a Star Wars fan and this place is impressive. Currently at Ogas and this place is awesome
Got back Sat night. Full recap below Spoiler Sat- arrived and checked into the Wilderness Lodge. Ate dinner at the Geyser Point Grill and swam in the pool. Sun- did Hollywood until about 3pm. My kid loved Slinky Dog and the Millenium Falcon ride. He was soooo excited to meet Pluto he started "breakdancing" when he met him. Had lunch at Woodys Roundup BBQ and went back to the lodge around 3. Went swimming then the wife and I went back to ride Rise of the Resistance and get a drink at Ogas. I did get the Fuzzy drink and it was delicious. Mon- had breakfast at Tusker House and spent the day at AK. Kid is obsessed with dinosaurs so had to do that ride a couple of times. He was exactly 40" and Dinosaur was his favorite ride. At night, wife and I went to Epcot. Wasn't a fan. It was extended hours for resort guests which said it was open til 11. We planned our night around that, but apparently the wine and food stands still closed at 9, so we were starving by 11. Did get on Guardains and that was by far my favorite ride. Tues- did MK and Mickeys Not So Scary Party. Was a long day. Did rest at the hotel after lunch. Got a ton of candy. Wed- my aunt and cousins live in FT Lauderdale so we met them in Vero Beach for a couple of hours. Before that, we ate at T-Rex in Disney Springs. Dino obsessed kid gave it a 10/10. After getting back, wife and I did Artist Point at the Lodge. It's a Snow White themed dining with her, the evil queen, dopey and grumpy. Shared apps and desserts. Pick your own entree. Was fantastic, and probably the best meal we had. Thur- was originally going to do Epcot but didn't think our kid would like it, did Hollywood again. Did the rides, but way more shows this time. Also had lunch at Hollywood & Vine. My kid was shy to meet Mickey for some reason (was completely fine with Pluto and Goofy) and my wife whispered to him she would get him cake if he gave Mickey a hug. He does, and Mickey takes his hand and walks him over to the cake was the sweetest thing ever Fri- did a half day at MK. Everyone was tired and exhausted by then, so went back to the hotel and went to the pool. Went to Beaches & Cream. Shared the reuben, onion rings, and chili cheese tots. And omg the no way jose was amazing. I love peanut butter desserts and that was top tier Sat- did Ohana since the kid loves Stitch. The POG juice was really good. Ate, then flew back home Was a 10/10 vacation and will always remember those little moments with my son
Awesome man, glad you had a good time. Epcot rules but yeah, gearing up for festival food and having it gone before after hours (I had this happen to me years ago before I knew exactly how things worked) is a bummer.
My wife had to scratch that Disney itch this year so we are headed back in November for the 4th time since 2019. Staying at the Polynesian again. First 2 years stayed at GF and tried Polynesian last year. My daughter prefers the Polynesian so Polynesian it is. She will be 10 when we go so I think we are still in that sweet spot of excitement/awe/joy and hopefully she can hang, as we had a stroller the first times we went. I’m excited. 10 years ago, if you would have told me that not only was I working on my 4th trip to Disney in 5 years, but that I was also looking forward to it, I would have said you’re crazy.
About to book a trip on the Treasure for February 2025. Little man will be 1.5, so taking a grandma for some coverage.
