im not trying to be dark or hysterical but the govt isnt getting enough tests nor releasing data so the only news you're gonna see is if the parks close and, as of today still, they won't even turn off the fucking fingerprint scanners all they did was add hand washing stations and purell stands

We’re supposed to leave on the 18th — I think they’re going to close the parks within the next couple of weeks. It’s a bummer, but we’re probably going to cancel today or tomorrow. Pretty fucking sad right now.

Check your hotel bookings. Friend who works at Disney said their occupancy went from 100 to 22% this week. Rosen hotels are doing half off. Orlando is already getting killed economically so there are amazing deals to be had.

Kids are the safest of all, best immune system. but still. You don't want to get off the ship and potentially be 4 carriers because you wanted to go on vacation. Take your kids out of school in early november and do it then. Will still get a half empty cruise.
Been ten days now since our last day in Anaheim. Apart from one kid having a head cold (his nasal congestion is inconsistent with corona symptoms), we're nearing the end of the potential incubation period with no indication of infection from all those handrails and packed lines Absolutely would not go now until this blows over

The cast members will probably be miserable during this entire thing. It also would be just a shitty feeling down there with everything looming — it would be impossible to completely enjoy yourself. Add in the guilt and it just doesn’t work for use. Now that we rescheduled for June, I honestly feel a lot better.
I haven’t called Disney yet, but I hope they are flexible with tickets and prepaid shit. I guess we’ll see :/
I'm currently at 8 days since Disney World. Not to derail the thread but I feel like its going to be a rolling 10-14 day check for the foreseeable future as long as I am working at the office and completely inept at cooking on my own (so out for dinner many nights).

who is your flight with? Most airlines are waiving any cancellation fees that’s if you can get anybody on the phone, I’ve been on hold with JetBlue for 50 mins now
