as of about halfway through the most recent season of BB I had The Wire, The Sopranos, and Breaking Bad as 1a, 1b, and 1c, respectively, and I said then that BB was giving Sopranos a good fight for 1b. Now I think I have to put BB over Sopranos and the last season will determine how strong its run at The Wire for 1a is. All 3 are amazing though, and you can't go wrong imo holding any of them as #1
This. Right now The Wire is the better show, but we know the ending of The Wire. If Breaking Bad brings the heat again, it might get put above The Wire. We'll see. One thing Breaking Bad has going for it - The final season of The Wire was :| We'll see what BB does in its final season.
While I don't think Breaking Bad is better than The Wire, you can't objectively deny the acting of Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul is superior to the acting of everyone on The Wire.
I mean there is no versus when mentioning The Wire. Breaking Bad is a good tv show. The Wire is the single most important program ever produced for television.
And only wanna be nig nogs think The Wire is better. At least PWT are the ones cooking up meth anyways.
If Breaking bad comes up with an epic ending, It could move ahead of the Wire for me. Cranston's acting > anything in the wire but he wire has more (quantity) interesting characters. Gus was one of my favorite villains of all time. I wish BB was on HBO and had more options as well. Wire is on top but BB is making it interesting. I really need to watch the sopranos
