BlazingRebel Sup bro; just got your voice message on XBL, can't find my mic; but yeah, this game is FUCKING SWEET. Im not very far in as I just picked it up tonight but I can already tell I'm going to be devoting many hours to it. Great call.
Yeah I figured it was a mic problem. I'm glad you really enjoy it, and as I said if you get stuck I will answer to the best of my ability.
Only reason I'll be playing this is cause Blazing Rebel. Got some credit on Amazon just waiting on the price to drop on there. Can't fucking wait. Would you recommend warrior, rogue, or mage? Or is not even divided into classes like that?
Well you are Geralt, the White Wolf, and once you get enough levels you can branch from your beginning skills to one of 3 other skill tree branches. Alchemy, Magic, or Swordsman. You may put skill points into all the trees, but usually you pick one main skill tree. The level cap is 35, so you have to be careful you place the right skill points into the spots you like, and some skills have a circle next to them, so you can add mutagens to further increase that skill.
I assume Alchemy is poisons and shit? Probably going to go magic here. Usually magic is toughest to start with, but once you get rolling your a monster. And if this game is as tough as I think it is that will be needed.
You will need all your magic aka Signs that are available the moment you start the game. Definitely play the tutorial before you start the game. Alchemy is just as important as the swordsmanship and the signs in the high difficulties. The Witcher gets his strength from his mutagens and his potions, so make sure to learn all the ins and outs of it because without preparing and drinking potions before big battles you will die..very quickly.
Will the stuff you store in the inns carry over to the nest chapters? I'm always struggling with my weight limit
What's everyone's favorite perks in the tree? I did a hard playthrough and it got a lot easier once I added the footwork and quen upgrades. Trying dark now. You get special armor in the dark playthrough.
How open world is it? I'm struggling to finish Kingdoms of Amalur just because I'm exhausted with open world stuff after Skyrim.
It's maybe 10% the size of Skyrim. I love the combat system in this game though, definitely worth a buy.
I'm about done with the games achievements and am wanting to play TW3. When is that supposed to come out? Will it be co-released on xbox this time or am I finally going to have to build me a gaming computer to get it? Is TW1 still cheap on steam for macs? I keep running into people with history from TW1 that I don't know bc I didn't play it.
I love the combat system and how adult this game is. Not just the sex which is great but just everything is more realistic. Like how grimy it is and how nasty people talk shit to you and about you and everyone else in passing on the street is just better than most other games. Spoiler Any game that lets you fuck a succubus goatlady is good with me but ch. 3 is a little weak compared to 1 & 2's awesomeness.
Ordered it a couple of days ago, expecting it Monday :bartscott: Blazing Rebel give me a rundown of what happened in TW1. If you do all the side quests possible and the main about how many hours is it? 50ish?
If you do all the side quests, mini games, sexual conquests and play on a say a normal difficulty the game will run 25-40 hours depending on your play style. As I have found out the enhanced edition is very different from the one I played especially the final act. My computer sadly is getting repaired, so I won't be able to assist on some quests, but I have my little brother's laptop, and I am watching a walkthrough so I can refresh my memory.
If you have anymore questions just hit me up, and I will do my best to explain about TW1, but if you have a decent computer/laptop that can play it. I really enjoyed TW2, but I absolutely loved TW1, and you can get the game cheap on steam or at a game store.
Bout to play TW1, had to break out the old wired xbox controller and my driver is saying the left bumper isn't working well. Is it as important as I think it will be? I've never done the whole mouse/keyboard thing.
I haven't played with a controller I did mouse and keyboard. What command does LB control? Also I was really disappointed that in TW2 they didn't a)keep the sex collector cards b) Let Geralt be the sexual deviant like he was in the first game. In the TW1 you have a chance to collect up to 21 different sex cards from 19 different women plus the conversations and sex scenes are usually absolutely hysterical. In TW2 you can only have romantic encounters with 5 women.
In the TW1 they don't have bombs or throwing daggers just signs, so you should be fine. Once you get the hang of the 3 styles of combat, and when to initiate combos you will be just fine. The game starts out slow in Chapter 1, but push through and get to Chapter two and into the Temple District of Vizima and you will enter a world of corruption and conspiracy.
This game is great. Just defeated the Kayran and now I feel like a true badass witcher. Have yet to romance a wench yet though.
How many chapters are there? I kind of wish there was more good loot just lying around waiting to be picked up. I have a couple of tons of the damn timber, iron ore, letaher, twine, cloth, etc. Did make a badass robust cutlass and witcher silver sword with it though. How many chapters are there?
Sadly in the TW2 there are only 3 chapters, and the final Chapter is much shorter than the first two. TW1 has 5 Acts ending in a fantastic finale.
I got it and then found out there is an issue with playing it through mac os 10.6. It would crash everytime before the opening scene. Something about he winewrapper or some shit. I got 10.7 and it started working and haven't gotten around to playing it w/ finals. plan on starting this weekend sometime.
How do you get the hung over quest with Ves and them? I see it on my quest handbook and it says you meet up with your old crew on that ship but I can't find that ship.
You go talk to them in their hangout, don't you? It's right next to the inn. It has to be after you talk to loredo the 1st time at night though.
Oh Ok I haven't talked to Loredo yet that's why. I've been doing every side quest I can. Had to murk that elf bitch Malen cause I thought I was gonna get some strange and then she tries to get me killed. Elven cunt
I forget but there's a boss called the Draug I think and he's got the Draug armor fragment for the Draug armor. Is that what you're talking about? Draugr's are those big dudes with the big shields in the mist, right? You get draugr fragments from them either at the very start of the chapter or when you cross it towards the middle of the chapter. Each time you stop to kill those wraiths one will show up.
Yeah I want to craft the armor that's why I asked. Never got one at the start of the chapter guess I'll have to wait till I go through the mist again.
The Draug armor? you'll have to wait till the end of the chapter to fight the Draug. Make sure and buy the schematic before you go in the final fight.
I think so. Unless you're playing dark diff. Then there is a special armor set for each chapter thats better.
Hell no I'm not playing dark mode. Fucked some elven bitch cause I had saved her in the riot at Flotsam.
game ended up being cool with some nice choices. just don't have the motivation to play through it again. Wish I sided with Ioverth even though Roche is a bad motherfucker
