she's having the best season of all-time, there is no chance. if she's not unanimous, strip the voter of their rights.
Whichever one of you who said stay off Twitter about the wnba was right. It’s devolved into a full blown war on there.
the article isn’t vague at all. It’s clearly calling out the racist online attacks to the players fouling Clark.
Clark posts a 24/10/10 and claims her 2nd triple-double. this one just worked out because they were up 7, LA had one possession left and the 3 was missed and it basically popped right into her hands. it looks like maybe one of her teammates knew (Clark definitely did, she was smiling after she grabbed the board and admitted as much in the post-game) but there's a funny shot of Kelsey Mitchell completely perplexed because the crowd lost its shit when she got the board and she couldn't figure out why at first. Fever like making games difficult to close out but to their credit they have a really good percentage at winning these close games (14-6 record in clutch games, 2nd best in the league).
Mitchell should have gotten POTW and honestly POTM. at least one of the two. Clark facilitates but Mitchell was basically as on fire as someone can be for a month. I don't think Clark was just blowing smoke when she said Mitchell should have won POTM.
When A’ja wins this year, I’m sure there will be a certain amount of voter fatigue going into next year. If Clark consistently plays like she has since the Olympic break and finishes top 3-5 in the league in scoring, leads in assists, puts together a handful of triple-doubles and leads the Fever to the playoffs, that on top of her popularity will certainly be an enticing case.
I was mostly just poking fun with my post. Obviously if A'ja repeats the numbers from this season there is no contest, but CC going 24-9-5 since the olympic break in her first year where I was told by Taurasi and others she would struggle with the physicality is not a good sign for the Swoops minded group out there.
on 10/16 shooting, no less. Boston really was the star last night. Clark floundered early, I think she had 9 points midway through the 3rd but then she turned it on and really what took the spotlight from AB was that last rebound with seconds remaining to make the triple-double a reality. 24-10-9 probably would have taken a bit more of a backseat to AB's statline.
Geno’s comments earlier this season aged well there is a serious UCONN bias that goes on that most weren’t aware of
it was a lackadaisical performance that won’t cut it in the playoffs but they seem to be playing w a comfort and chemistry. Everything looks easier compared to the first half of the season
Coach sides has taken the brakes off cc and started to let her run the show. Getting Hull more minutes has helped defensively and she’s helping space the floor better. Boston had an atrocious start, sounded like she showed up out of shape and I don’t think the team was ready to place at the pace they are now. I think smith is a big piece for them as she is one of the few that can play above the rim, but she’s been a little inconsistent. sides early offensive sets and rotations were so bad. I think she’s figured out boston/clark can run a solid two man game and their spacing is better which allows Clark room to work and pick defenses apart. Team still needs another piece or two off the bench.
If they had a legit scoring wing that could compliment Hull so she doesn’t have offensive pressure on her, they’d be really dangerous.
Smith is downright unplayable some games. She can be so awful. Everyone else on the team has looked much better including Wheeler, when she gets her limited time.
Looks like the Lynx got serious in the 3Q and put the championship clamps on the Fever Phee is #2 in the MVP race this season and should be #1 if it wasn’t for A’ja
two games in a row now where Boston is taking 3s either down or barely up with less than two minutes remaining. not a clue what she thinks she's going to do.
