The stars were dumb and again anytime they mix guys/girls against each other we get these overall terrible finals that are just like tons of easy puzzles. I didn't mind the final until the last 5 stage thing but they lost me then
This season and especially the final was set up so older vets could be competitive. Which is fine but then they brought in a bunch of players that still very fit and near their prime. Cara and Laurel shouldn't be on this show yet, and it seems like the next All Stars cast is even younger.
Full list of Season 40 cast. It's as stacked as you'd hope. https://parade.com/tv/the-challenge-40-battle-of-the-eras-cast
A good list. Who did they leave out? Kam? Fessy? Jay? Not necessarily saying they should have been included but that's who immediately comes to mind. Nany is terrible but it seems like she always gets invited
Leroy said on JB's podcast last week that going forward either he or Kam would be on, but not both at once again. Otherwise Kam would definitely need to be there. I'd also be okay with Fessy just because I'm still hoping for the elimination that sees CT rip his head off.
definitely seems like they opted to go for new with the 30-40 era, instead of some names we have seen more often over the past decade.
Wes and Kyle are the other two that come to mind. Getting Wes on was always going to be hard, though. Not sure what Kyle's situation is/was. I'm assuming they asked and he couldn't
Ashley Mitchell not being there is a little weird. Also, I know its a pipe dream but Landon Lueck on Era 1 would've been awesome.
Otherwise an amazing cast. this season is going to be awesome. I hope it stays as a team competition as long as possible.
I heard Mark Long mention that Landon would consider doing All Stars because of its shorter filming schedule. He obviously has a career now. I would love to see him back.
I believe Ashley got kicked off the last one that she was on for calling Josh gay and throwing shit that hit people in production. She's probably not welcome back.
I read that as well. She apparently is on All Stars 5 that they're filming now though, so I guess they figured it out.
He commented on tweet from the official Challenge account saying he wished he could be there. Clearly, he was asked.
No idea how many will get eliminated during this stage but here are my predictions for the four getting axed immediately (don't @ me). I work with Landon. They’ve asked him a lot to come back but with our jobs, we can’t be gone for a long period of time. He’s married and has a good career so really doesn’t want to mess it up. Of course I give him hell that the real reason is he’s an old fart like me now and doesn’t want to get embarrassed. Ha. JK, he’s still in great shape. I’m sure he’d be a hell of an athlete on the show.
Yeah, I saw him on the PR circuit last week and I don't think he's ever been bigger. He's beyond Dad Bod...just looked straight up fat.
Strange move on his part. He was in Dad Bod mode in that Villains show months ago. Interesting that he didn't care about anything after that before Challenge 40.
The only thing I can think of is that he got such a huge appearance fee, he didn’t give a shit about winning. In years past, he’s at least tried to get in shape as the season went on. Doesn’t appear to be the case either. That or he gets hurts and has to leave early which could be true given the previews.
She must have some kind of dirt on a producer. Never understood her getting cast again and again and again
Yeah, CT looks like a 3-technique. The amount his weight has volleyed back and forth over the past decade is crazy. Went from Dad bod to jacked again to whatever he is now.
