Read that the payouts for the final are Spoiler 500K to the 1st place winners for each guy/girl nothing for anybody else
Tonight is the night. I just looked at my cable schedule and next Wednesday it says it's the reunion show....so, looks like tonight is T.J.s Final.
Yeah I was going to post, I was watching the train wreck that is Siesta Key last night and they had a commercial on that tonight was the season finale.
Man I just don’t trust that they’ll show the whole thing tonight. When was the last time they did just 1 for the final? Another stupid ending like Jordan’s win where they reveal at the reunion maybe?
I don't think they've started filming the next season yet, so tonight's likely the last new episode until 2021. Thank god for PlutoTV
Think I heard they might start in August, but I'm sure that might have been wishful thinking with everything going on.
Total Madness was filmed in November so similar timeline would put the next one premiering around late January/early February
I don’t think it’s as difficult for a show like this to operate during the pandemic. Make sure everyone is tested before they get to the house, and don’t allow the cast to go out to bars like they usually do before eliminations. I could easily be wrong, but it seems the show could pretty much eliminate direct interaction between anyone who isn’t a challenger or crew for a season.
whether they could or not I believe I read a few months back they stopped production on the next season
I like how the show has gone all in on music from the 90s and early 00s to please their core viewers. Saw on instagram Melissa was 17 weeks pregnant during the final, no way she finishes.
I knew something that forced Cory to use his brain has gonna trip him up but if he even finishes the problem 4th he’s got a good chance to win this. Hell of a finish for Kyle, good for him. Johnny right if he wasn’t the goat before he’s the goat now.
I hope all the morons that made moves like “I don’t want to run a final with Aneesa” feel appropriately stupid now. Congrats, you let the 2 most athletic girls in the game mostly skate by and sent all the fatties or uncoordinated folks home, the ones you could’ve actually beaten.
Jenny was the best girl by a mile. They’ve got to find some new girls in here or she won’t be beat. She was basically handed $500k.
Pretty entertaining. You knew Fessy was toast after being outside all night. Also impressive that Jenny was the first person overall to finish. She’s the top girl in the game moving forward no question. Would love to know some of the distances they were covering. If it was a several mile hike on the 2nd day, probably no way to edit it to make it seem closer than it was.
Did I miss something on my recording? Fessy was the 1st to finish the combination and then all of a sudden he was in last
Cross country skiing and walking in the snow obviously aren’t easy but that final didn’t look nearly as difficult as the last two. Bunim/Murray needs to do some intense scouting to find Jenny some competition. She faced very little adversity this season and just beat all of the guys. Would love to see Emily Schromm come back to face her. People better start brushing up on their 3rd grade math in prep/training. And then bring flash cards to the house, it’s not like they have much to do during the season.
They’re gonna need a legit CrossFit games qualifier type girl to be able to beat Jenny in anything physical.
Yes, and it was her first time playing that or probably ever doing/seeing that specific activity. You picking Tori if they go again next season, now that Jenny knows low man wins?
In all honesty though, the girls just need to throw her in at every opportunity. Eventually it’d be knot tying or puzzles or something where her fitness didn’t matter. She’d win a few but eventually get caught.
I think Kaycee could have hung physically. It was the puzzle/math. Jenny at the end acknowledged as much. Corey impressed me that 1st part but you knew the let down was coming with him. Dont like that his choice was so impactful in the outcome. Fessy earned that 2nd place at the 1st checkpoint then gets lapped by Johnny (6 hours in cold plus that minute penatly).
I think if it were 2 episodes we would have seen the struggle more. I read it was 12+ miles and over 9k in vertical feet climbed. That is difficult at any time but in frigid temps...that seems really tough. Maybe the blizzard conditions made it so they couldn’t do mini challenges/eating contests, etc. Either way, not the best final, not the worst, IMO. Also, they need to re-energize their contestant pool. Bananas can’t carry them forever and some of the older guys gotta be close to being done. Be interesting to see if they can get maybe some former collegiate athletes of some kind or something along those lines. Hoping that these Big Brother people are entertaining and athletic seems like a stretch. Also also, add a pregnancy test to the pre-show female physicals!
Not sure how. Before they started he said 500k for each. Then again after they spent the night in the cabin.
I thought the final was a letdown to what was overall a really good season. Was it known prior to the finale that there was a female and male winner? The finale just seemed easier compared to more recent ones but it’s also probably hard to account for the snow impact. Think they should have added an eating challenge in there somewhere. It was basically two runs and a math problem. Jenny is far and away the best female competitor right now.
That final wasn’t as fun to watch on TV but i bet it was one of the harder ones. Trudging in all that snow in high altitude is exhausting. Also cross country skiing, especially if you’ve never done it.
They traveled 12 miles while climbing thousands of feet in elevation...and half of them basically spent a good amount of the night not sleeping and standing outside. It was a brutal final.
Maybe the editing was the issue then, did they ever say how far they went and how high they climbed? I think it would also help if they told us how much time had elapsed
I have no doubt it was a grueling final but not a good one for TV. They need to go back to doing multiple challenges/puzzles/eating/etc for the final. Break it up into legs and whatever your lead is going into the next leg, that’s your head start. The overnight standing/not sleeping challenges are great and everyone in the final should do it.
I just think a one minute head start isn’t fair if you finish by more than that in the prior stage. Kyle was way more than 2 minutes behind
