Wife called it. Said the lady talking to the the foster boy looked just like Randall’s oldest before they showed old Randall. Really good casting.
This is going to sound really corny, but I hope my wife and daughter one day think as highly of me as Jack's wife and kids think of Jack.
Milo Ventimiglia: This Is Us Made Crock-Pot Super Bowl Ad Due to Brand's Plummeting Stock People Aili Nahas 4 hrs ago [img class="loaded" role="presentation" alt=" Cancellations aren't always simple. With today's shrinking live viewership, more than just TV ratings factor into whether a show survives to see another season. Networks are now looking at online, On Demand, and streaming viewership, awards appeal, social-media popularity, and even how the show performs with audiences, among many other things. Taking all of that into account, here are our predictions for the shows most in danger of being canceled. After This Is Us aired an episode in which it was revealed that the fire that destroyed the Pearson family home was caused by a faulty slow cooker, the stock price of the notable slow cooker brand plummeted, causing a PR nightmare. “It was unfortunate,” says Milo Ventimiglia, whose beloved character Jack Pearson perished as a result of the fire. “We’re aware of the impact and we hope to never create pain or upset.” So Ventimiglia, along with show creator Dan Fogelman set about remedying the situation with a Super Bowl ad that introduced the hashtag, “Crock-Pot is innocent.” “Everything that we had written about that episode was slow cooker,” explains Ventimiglia. “It’s always been slow cooker. It always will be a slow cooker. It’s unfortunate the assimilation to a well known well loved and even by me personally owned product by the community online.” Continues the actor: “I think regardless of any kind of fault of anyone’s own, we were aware of the impact. Things happen. But [we were] in a position to turn the car in a different direction.” When it came to the execution, “It’s easy for us to do,” says Ventimiglia. “It’s me learning a handful of lines, which I do on a daily basis, and it’s Fogelman picking up some footage of me doing that. If it helps release a little bit of pressure from as beloved a company as Crock-Pot, then, of course, it’s always worth it.” This Is Us airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
I think it has brought awareness to the issue so hopefully more people unplug their appliances when they are done with them
That is a real good point honestly. But for people to trash crock pots or not buy them or tweet about it makes me rage.
jack c'mon man you couldn't have told kate that the dog can kick rocks? he could never tell her no yuppppp
As much as I want to hate on Kate my cat would definitely be found and brought to safety. That’s my dude
Just finished. Easily the hardest episode of TV ever watched god damn. Ole lost Not Penny’s Boat was probably the #1 before this and not even close now. Really special character development and acting to bring out some heavy hitting stuff when you know it’s coming. First 10 minutes were brutal Spoiler Bullshit ass crockpot switch or not That was well done
Don’t even care tbh. Only detail of 2 amazing seasons of some of the best tv I’ve ever watched. Can’t believe... of all the things the Manny got me real bad in the feels on that tree. Some of this shit hits too close to home
I was never a fan of the "mystery" about how Jack died bc that was never what the show was about to me. So I'm very excited to have that behind us and look forward to seeing where this show goes from here
Found this episode a lot harder to watch than Sunday honestly. The death was never going to get me as much as the aftermath. We knew he died and we knew it was coming that episode. It was much harder to watch the family have to deal with it
Absolutely lost it at the scene where they spread his ashes. We spread my wife’s in front of her favorite tree too. So many feels.
The Superbowl episode suffered from the same thing the season 1 finale did. I was constantly looking ahead to what I knew/thought i knew was coming and took me out of the moment. It was a very good episode, but I liked last night's more.
Every Jack scene from after the death episode is just gonna wreck my shit it was the same thing with William fuck me
I thought Kevin was on crutches. How come he didn't use them at funeral? And wasn't Jack supposed to be a mess leading up to his death? Season 1, he was drunk driving to Rebecca's concerts. Wasn't that supposed to be right around time he died?
When they were in the car and he was telling them he had a surprise for them the following Saturday they said that the cast was coming off in 2 days. The next day was the Super Bowl I believe when Jack died. Kevin got the cast off on Monday and then the funeral was the following Saturday. Remember Jack moved into Miguel’s after that and then she had him come home and he went to AA and was doing all that stuff when Kevin was talking about colleges
I feel like they teased it earlier this season iirc it was later on in life and they reconnected through the internet
