Leaning towards Houston and Virginia. Houston should handle Rice. Miami has been playing really well, and they're coming off a big win against Ga Tech. UVA has played close games all season. They have a solid defense that has caused 13 turnovers. I think Virginia keeps it close.
2 years ago, when Case Keenum was a healthy junior, UH scored 71 on Rice, and Rice scored 20 something. That year Rice was a 3-win team.
Rain games can be good sometimes in high powered passing offenses as long as the weather isnt just awful. Playing corner in the rain sucks dick.
That's my only concern. UH could cover by themselves or come close enough that a late, meaningless score by Rice puts it over. The rain should help. I don't know that I'll play the total because I like UH to cover better than either side of the total.
Miami is way overvalued here..Virginia a little undervalued. Put it together and Miami shouldn't be giving 14, 15, or whatever else to any non-Duke ACC team. Rice hasn't lost by 28 all season, and they've played a couple teams equally as explosive as Houston, and Houston has a shitty defense and doesn't play well during the week. You could also look at the line of 27.5 and wonder why not just make it 28, because they want to catch people on Houston without having to buy the hook...I think Houston wins by 18.
watching the miami-uva game now. can't believe that idiot fucking jumped into UVA's punter with his teammate diving in front of him. that shit will break Miami's D with the drive as long as it already is.
