3 games on tap this week Cincinnati at NC State (-2) over 55 Kansas at Southern Miss (-5.5) over 49 California (-3) at Nevada over 66 Thoughts? I'm leaning towards the under in Kansas/S. Miss and Cal -3 on Friday but no strong feeling on NC State/Cincy yet. 2 isn't a lot of points for NC State to be laying at home when Cincy already got beat pretty handily at Fresno earlier this year. 55 also doesn't seem like a lot of points for 2 teams with good offenses and questionable D's. Any input?
i liked NC State when they were a dog. I like So Miss after KU won last week. I really like Nevada bc that is a weird place to play and Cal is always good for a crappy game on the road.
I don't know a lot about Cal but Nevada has a pretty terrible track record going against BCS schools. Tough to back them only getting 3 points IMO.
I posted this in another thread, but if you go read TMB or any other message board, everyone thinks Cal is going to destroy Nevada, how can they only be giving 2.5/3 points to Nevada, etc. I take a look closer, and see that 80% of the plays are on Cal and the line has moved back below 3. Just reeks of a trap to me.
Took Cal. Nevada has a terrible record against BCS teams and they also have a terrible defense and won't be able to stop Cal.
The line actually opened at Cal -1 on Bookmaker so I wouldn't read too much into it being at 2.5/3 right now. A lot of the best cappers make their plays the minute they open and you won't even know what the original line was because it moves so fast.
I'm not even saying I'm playing it yet. If the line jumps to 3.5 or more by the time Friday rolls around I'll probably scratch it off my list. I'm just not seeing it as a trap like you are. Cal wasn't expected to be good this year and nobody really knows much about them at this point in the year. For them to be a 3 point favorite on the road against a team with an explosive offense is probably right about where the line should be given how little anyone knows about them.

I play on 2 sportsbooks. betus and youwager. betus: Cal -4.5 youwager: Cal -2.5 I just made my bet on youwager before it goes up. I feel comfortable off of Nevada's past that it will not be close. If I felt like it would be a close game and didn't care about losing juice I would middle that game on the other site looking for a Cal 3-4 point victory.
Don't really like to bet overs during the week but the more I look at NC State/Cincy I have a hard time seeing it play out as anything other than a shootout. Anyone wanna tell me why I'm wrong on that?
2 units on the over tonight. See a shootout. Waiting on the o/u tmrw because that is another shootout. IDK. I'm being dumb early in the year. Normally push the bets I'm more sure about and a lil on the others but not really doing that. I still see a shootout tonight. That Cincy offense will get going and love Russell Wilson.

In addition, the Cincinnati players' are very very mad cause they have not played to well thus far and they want to show to their loyal fans and friends that they are much more gooder than that. Also, NCST players has been home during this here week drinking a lot of beer, eating to much food and participating in to much poontang activities. This not be good cause collectively these here factors slow a football team down a tad and a tad is all the advantage the Cincinnati players need to prevail in this here game.
