Not sure how I feel about this show, but it's got Abigail Spencer, so it's worth a shot. Debuts tonight at 10. Anyone checking out the pilot?
I plan on watching it. Only has a 66 on Metacritic, so not expecting much, but it has an interesting concept.
Its not very good but I'm going to watch. Spencer is just such a pretty woman and the premise is fun. Plus it has the scientist from Better off Ted.
Felt like it jumped around a lot but that may be because they had to set things up with the pilot. Not a fan of how they're making the owner of the company and the scientist have the secret
We thought the premise sounded interesting. Abigail is easy on the eyes but the acting isnt great. We are going to give it a couple episodes at least.
Will be kind of interesting to see how their "close enough" outcomes keep having minute impacts on the future.
No doubt that happens, and when it does he'll have to be convinced he needs to keep going back and potentially lose his wife. I do find some things like this intriguing about the show (would be cool if it were deeper script-wise), like in this last episode about what black lives might have been like in the future if they prevented Lincoln's assassination. Even something small, like what if that black soldier did go north with his family and had a prosperous life instead of going back south like he intended to do. I doubt the show will talk about that about again, but it would be cool if it did.
Show has gotten better last few weeks, enjoying the twist this week of Lucy's crew debating teaming up with Flynn (at least through 35 minutes) to kill Rittenhouse. And the discovery that Rittenhouse is one guy?
One of the best dramas on broadcast TV. Hopefully, it gets renewed. Can't end a series on that season finale.
Does seem to be a lot of time shifting/traveling TV shows coming out these days. Guess time travel is the new zombie/vampire
Well didn't expect that. Pretty rare a network revives a show they cancelled, especially not within the same week.
http://uproxx.com/hitfix/nbc-gives-canceled-timeless-second-season/ But the show might just suck now if the bolded part is true
My wife and I thought it was stupid when we saw the previews and while it can be ridiculous there have been a lot of shittier shows renewed. Glad it got renewed. It's a guilty pleasure.
Maybe they realized that the other time travel shows being cancelled on Fox and ABC will create a bigger audience? Either way nice to know one of my new shows actually came back for season two.
to be fair, it did strike me odd that they'd be debuting this at the start of the olympics at a time that seems to be pretty active, so I should have been more skeptical
Read an article on Uproxx today that got me pretty excited. Says the Rittenhouse stuff is going to be more fleshed out and take on a bigger part in the show but doesn't take away from the appeal of the weekly time traveling trips. Sounds like the Rittenhouse is going to be the focus of the show now.
