    Had an unofficial midweek weigh-in at 199.0, finally breaking my end-of-February goal of dipping below 200.

    My gym is now closed indefinitely due to coronavirus concerns, so I will have to find other exercise options. Cardio should be fine. Developing a comprehensive bodyweight strength routine will take some work.

    This is awesome. I'd love to be on this path but my willpower for constantly eating well is pretty low. Any tips on what you've been doing or eating for some meals?

    Intermittent fasting is working pretty well for me. I suck at moderation, which is why I have failed so many diets / eating regiments in the past. I really like the on-off nature of fasting -- you're either doing it or you're not. And once you're doing it, the fasting encourages other healthy choices. I had one bad week (the "no weigh-in" was by choice) but was able to get back on the wagon pretty easily.

    I do the daily fast with a 6-8 hour eating window, depending on my schedule.
    -- breakfast: black coffee (getting used to black coffee has been the most difficult challenge)
    -- lunch: big salad (a small portion of pasta salad and chicken tossed in a large portion of greens)
    -- dinner: whatever

    Breakfast and lunch are healthy, but dinner is more relaxed. In the last week I have made Cuban sandwiches, burgers, carnitas tostadas, pozole, and a cabbage sausage soup for dinner. I try to limit carbs but don't avoid them altogether. I eat fruit. I don't eat desserts or sweets. I cut back drinking significantly.

    In terms of exercise, I had not been to the gym in about a year, so January was kind of ugly. Up until the last couple days, I had been doing low intensity cardio (elliptical) about twice a week, weights about three times a week, and some interval work whenever I felt like changing things up. Since the coronavirus outbreak, I have started walking/running. Today I found a park near me that has some outdoor pull-up and parallel bars that will allow me to do some bodyweight strength training.

    I am at 306.8. Not as bad as I expected with how busy my work schedule has been. Still won’t be a factor in winning the competition but would love to get into the 200’s

    Thanks for this! I think the key items for me are sticking to the 6-8 hour eating window. It's a challenge as I normally eat lunch around 12-12:30 and if I do my run after work, I am not home, showered, and ready to eat until around 6:30-7, which means I need to prepare my meal and eat quickly or I eat out. I also have a major sweet tooth (that is worse now that I have some girlscout cookies).

    Had a trip scheduled for Nashville the second to last week of the competition. Was going to be so unhealthy for almost a week. COVID-19 has canceled said trip. But I'm not giving back my vacation days, so we'll see how much I end up eating at home.

    Did my first actual workout in a long time today that wasn’t walking. Built an 8” step box for the basement and did a few hundred step ups of various varieties.
