Last week was a busy week for work, plus we got over a foot of snow to start the week. I’m thinking both things kept me distracted from doing much snacking, plus I was definitely burning some calories removing that snow from my driveway.
In my experience, it seems like I’ll get frustrated because I felt I had a good week, but then it kind of makes up for it the following week and I lose more than I’d expect.
the intermittent fasting + HIIT combo has been melting it off for me. Ive also almost completely cut out sugar. huge deal for me.
From last week. jokewood need a weight this week so you don't get DQ'ed. I didn't count this week against Edmond and Duke as a no weigh-in since they checked into the thread.
Yeah I could probably lose more if I switched to more cardio/HIIT based exercise and cut out some of the extra protein I'm eating but I'm just going to stick to it because at this point I care more about strength gains than winning the competition.
What is your IF plan/timeline? Do you do it daily? Since I rarely eat breakfast sometimes I can go from 9pm to 11am or noon without eating, outside of maybe a 0 calorie energy drink so obviously not 100% fast.
ive been following it quite strictly. I use a window of 1-7. occasionally i have extended to 8, but thats maybe only happened two days over the past month. i will grant that its not sustainable long term, but while working from home its pretty easy to do. i'm planning on continuing through the middle of march.
01/25 - 237.6 02/01 - 236.2 -1.4 lbs Spoiler 01/04 - 250.2 01/11 - 240.6 01/17 - 239.2 01/25 - 237.6 02/01 - 236.2 -14 lbs
i do my cardio around 5:30pm I have a slim fast advanced nutrition shake with a quest bar for lunch. well rounded meat and veggie dinner.
170.2, had a good week until this weekend and are like shit bc we had no food in the house. Weekends are killing me. Calling atleast 4 lbs this week though
Do you ever run into any issues with cardio after not eating much for lunch? Usually my first meal is around 11am or noon where I eat something boring like a breakfast burrito I make, then I’ll try to remember to eat something small (like 150cals) around 3-4pm before I ride my peloton after work which is usually around 4:30-5pm. Usually I’ll try to save my calories for dinner/after dinner snack. When I’m working I’m more distracted and can hold off snacking, but some days after work that’s where it’s rough so I try to allow some cushion.
Start: 339.2 Week 1: 334.4 Week 2: 331.2 Week 3: 328 Week 4: 328.2 Total Lost : 11.0 Shocked to only be up .2. Been moving all week and had family in town. So ate like shit and consumed soda everyday. Back on the grind today
Cutting diet sodas cold turkey starting today. Water, Gatorade Zeros, and the occasional monster ultra from now on.
Gatorade Zeros are a lifesaver for me. They must have changed the recipe like a year ago because when I first would get them I hated them but now they’re awesome. Probably should mix in more water than I currently do, but oh well.
Starting weight: 204.8 Current weight: 196.2 Total lost: 8.6 % lost: 4.2% I was below 195 yesterday AM but it was also my birthday and I went a bit heavy on the beer and cake. Oh well, more to lose this week!
204.4 My climbing partner and I made a pact to climb the Nose on El Capitan by the end of 2026. So I've started to do a lot more strength/core training and cut down on my cardio. This is week one of the new training program so I'm interested to see how my gainz impact this contest.
Used to drink atleast 5 green monsters a week, switched to the Zero Ultra for this and have felt a ton better
I weighed in at 302.1 this morning, down 3 from yesterday and since I run the excel sheet I'm updating my weight for the week
I was at 234.8 this morning. -1.4 lbs from yesterday. I'm not concerned about the sheet regarding my number. Under 235 is probably my lowest in ~ 8 years.
Similar for me today, but trying to not count those and just keeping on with healthy weeks. I don’t want to get complacent and I want this weight loss to stay.
Wish I had joined. Been locked out of my account. Was 240 1/1 and am 216.5 as of this morning. Keep grinding yall
Also, don’t do what I did and go so hard hiking/running you get shin splits. Can’t even walk my dog rn
-15.4 overall. This was Monday morning. Been a good week so I’m hoping to hit that 20 by next weigh in. Spoiler
