If available, and I think it is... make sure my 11 is:

    Icardi
    Balde Diao Thauvin
    Rakitic De Bruyne Gylfi
    Nacho Felipe Rudiger Walker

(If Balde is still hurt, use Shaq... if Felipe is still out, Sokratis)

Already on my list. You were away last match so I couldn't check for Felipe and couldn't put Gylfi in for Bentaleb.

I check for Keita every home match but it was 8 weeks from 3/4 and we just had 4/14-15 I believe so it should be any time now. Some guys have been coming back 3-4 weeks early, some guys have been coming back 2 weeks late.

I got bold and switched to a 3-5-2 of

    -------------------Martial-----Zlatan
    -----------------------------Payet
    Guerreiro----------------------------------------Costa
    ----------------Pereira------------Paulinho

    -------------Benatia-----Ramos-----Kimmich

instead of my normal 4-2-3-1. Martial belongs up top

Also blow me Watson for liking that

Has the idea of allowing the bottom of the table select what position they want to draft next year ever been discussed?

So Toppers would get to pick where he wants to select from 1-22
    then pop and so on...

I think its an interesting to see who would go to the top of the round 1 or bottom...

I think its an alternative that is better than a random draw.

Plus we all know it doesn't matter where you select in the draft you live in the bottom 3

It has not been. I have also been asked about the top teams having the same choice for performing well.

This is a group thing so its open to the group to discuss but personally I don't think that bottom teams should get that choice. I think random draw is the best. Nexus has won this thing picking at the top and picking at the bottom so I'm not sure how much difference it makes.

I am also excited about the PES/UEFA CL licensing expiring so that for FIFA 19 we should be able to have an official UCL so the dates matches are played will make more sense and the injuries won't be so sever since matches won't be so close together like they are on custom tournaments.

Depending on interest I could also see this dropping back down to 20 instead of 22 like we had this year. 1 extra match every matchday plus the extra matchdays and diluted rosters, not sure it's the best option and some people have lost interest

I'm also willing to hand the reigns back to DelapThrows if he wants them.

We had a few hiccups this year which I am ashamed of. Easier to keep everyone interested when there is a regular sim schedule and I missed some days.

or someone else, I'd also probably be willing to do it again

I wouldn't be opposed of doing it that way... I personally feel an advantage is given to those who draft early or late. Those in the middle are kinds in meh land.

I also despise random draws. Make this year mean something.

No issues with you or questioning you in any way. I think you have done a excellent job. I'm very happy with you continuing to run it. I was just offering ideas.

Issues I would have with starting this year to say OK you get to choose draft position based on this years results are:
    1) Not something that people were made aware of before the draft (not that anyone would have drafted differently because it's a 1 year sim so everyone wants to win now)
    2) Not everyone returns every year so for someone new we are either throwing them in at the end or they are getting the slot of someone who dropped/was kicked. Likely that would impact getting new people.
    3) This is the I don't know what number year sim we have done the sim and haven't had this before so as an example Pop has finished high on the table in the past and then now is low on the table, would it be fair to him to do this now when he is going to have one of the last choices and thus in your mind putting him at a disadvantage for next years sim, whereas had we started this when he was a top finisher, he would possibly continuously have a high choice of where he picks.
    4) The draft is fun and we all know that the sim is flawed. Everyone is encouraged to not draft based on FIFA ratings but if you put incentive for next years draft behind it, people are basically going to pull up FIFA ratings and draft straight off that.

I’ll check in just a bit. I know you switched to Kimpembe at CB and you’re on your last GK

Actually I can’t see your lineup when I’m not on your specific match. My best guess from recollection is:

    Akinfeev
    Piszczek
    Vertoghen
    Kimpembe
    Roussillon
    Vidal
    Matuidi
    Parejo
    Alexis
    Falcao
    Callejón

Since that last safe spot is so close, let’s look at the run in:

    Real Oviedo: Malmö - A, Liverpool - H, Ajax - A, Bayern - H, Fiorentina - A, Real Sociedad - H

    Bremen: Liverpool - A, Fiorentina - H, Bayern - A, Manchester City - H, Real Sociedad - A, PSG - H

    Atlanta United: Juventus - H, Barcelona - A, Fiorentina - H, Real Sociedad - A, Young Boys - H, Real Madrid - A

All 3 have to play Sociedad (sitting 5 points above Oviedo, could they find themselves involved in this battle or will this push them to mid table?) and Fiorentina (fighting for a UCL spot).
Atlanta has both Barca and Real.
Oviedo has both Malmö and Liverpool.
Bremen has both Liverpool and Manchester City.

Congrats nexus on the Copa de España victory

Messi named player of the competition (disagree after the penalty miss that would’ve sealed it).

“The win today is for all of our supporters but especially the squad who played well and were the better team today” is the quote they attributed to the Real manager. Personally I think that’s a bit humble for Nexus and there would’ve been some “Suck my dick”s thrown in there along with personal jabs at Druce and myself
