Did they at least comment on it? I imagine it's a costly problem to resolve that disappears completely on PS5, and as it isn't effecting the primary game modes, they arent going to budget to fix it.
They’ve commented on it plenty. There’s a 98 page thread on the EA forums that started in October and is still active that has gotten updates from someone at EA The posters asking for a resolution still don’t know if it’ll get fixed before the next game or if it’ll even be fixed on 21 The last update from the EA community manager was a month ago
Knowing of / reproducing the error and applying a fix can be a mile a part, especially if the amount of hours to fix the bug exceeds their allocated budget. If they didn't fix it prerelease, I highly doubt it's being fixed.
FUT revenue in H1 of 2020 was 716 million. Rockstar built Red Dead 2 for 80 million. I don't think you can frame their inability/unwillingness to fix tournament mode as a budgetary problem. Frostbite engine does really suck for bug fixing though.
