Live series and topps now cards. I enjoy it from the standpoint of I’d never ever use those cards otherwise. The Yankee switch hitting dude has two yaks for me already. Monster card if you’re ballin on a budget I’d use him constantly.

dblplay1212 i know you’ll read this but tagging you anyway. I failed to mention he’s PH for me. Just too lazy to flip him out until I get two losses. Next entry he’ll be in the lineup for sure. also deGrom fucks me up so bad. He’s so good. That velo timing fucks me up so bad the next time I face someone. I’m ahead on everything. Also if you play the event, especially after a loss, just pump the fastball with him. Just try to locate it. If you face him, treat it like showdown and just make him throw. Use contact first inning if you need to, your pci will get huge after 20 or so pitches.
We've reached a point where Topps Now cards are better than new signature and awards cards. Guys with 10 career at bats have better cards than Orlando Cepeda and Johnny Damon.
It really is. You’d think that would be an easy fix as well. That and innings rewards are always useless. So dumb wish they did a better job with that sort of thing.
Also does anyone have 500 Miggy yet? Looks like you have to do EVERY single mission and moment to get him. Is that right or am I just being dumb?
I’ve got him. The Extra Innings missions for 6th inning are a good opportunity to plug away at those, but I just stuck him at lead off and played one at bat of a game at Coors against the cpu to get the hits
Same as DBL play, though I'm for sure sure that I didn't do any online missions. I believe I had him batting first and then my team was filled with primary third basemen playing their secondary positions for some rookie conquest games to get the missions that are like "Get X with a third baseman". Another work around is just put rookie Miggy or whatever it is at the top of your order and then load into a CPU game as the away team vs an easy pitcher, and after his first AB, back out. Rinse and repeat. I can't remember if I did this for Miggy, but I definitely did it for the Ozzie Smith card, and it was so worth it, because it feels wasteful loading into a conquest game and playing with everyone else when you're really just trying to get a mission done with only one specific player.
This week's Topps Now cards are too much, I'm on the 3rd moment and so far all 3 have been 97s -- wth? All Lars Nootbaar did was hit a walkoff single, yet his power and contact are over 100 across the board? I thought the cards' stats, in general, were based off of how that player was playing at that very moment, which would make sense to me. Lars Nootbaar is slugging like .451 this season.
I buy two every single week they come out they’re usually cheap. They’ll generally double in price when POTM comes up.
I need 21 ranked wins by Monday at 11 pm. I start the true grind tonight. I’m currently 44-14 in ranked and sitting at like 820 rating. I need Justin Verlander in my life. If I play well enough, I could hit World Series first, then I could decide if it’s worth it to go for Lindor or Goose depending on how many wins are left.
The cards are so good that it has taken me 15 minutes to do all these moments. Jeesh. Then, go try and hit a homer with that plebe, Cal Ripken Jr.
What is up with all this extra innings bullshit now? In the first inning I kind of get it, here is an option for you if you are out of conquest and need some way to play more offline? But there isn't a reward path or anything, so I don't really see a compelling reason to play other than the kicker it provides being the innings mission. Only other thought is that it could be a precursor to Prestige and needing multiple Parallel V for the next collection like they did last season. 30 XBH 30 HR 30 K with RP That's a bit much.
I took Glasnow Monthly card from level 1 to 4 in the first few games on that mode. CGs, 20+ Ks each time. I totally forgot he had another card and I have missed him.
I hit World Series and got Verlander last night. I’m sitting at 49-15 in ranked all-time. 902 current rating. I won my first ever game on Legendary difficulty 4-3.
