From the 4th inning program - you get a low number of stars for playing the game (maybe 1-2 for an RS game), then there are daily challenges (like record 15 innings with a player from team X), plus stars for completing the Inning showdowns and conquests and for completing designated collections. You can earn program stars retroactively for the showdowns, conquests, and collections, but your current gameplay will only go towards the current program.
When you enter the DD mode, the first screen there's an Innings program. Right now it will say 3rd inning and have a picture of Chipper, Victorino, Brian Roberts. It should say X amount of points earned, etc. Click that and it will show you the stuff you need to do. There's multiple ways to unlock the bosses.
Yea im only at 147 of 300 with 3 days left. All I play is h2h games and they don't seem to give much rep.
Yeah usually I do Showdown for 75 points, Conquest for 30 points, and/or the moments to unlock a card or two depending on who it is which is 20 each.
So you have 4 daily challenges under that screen. Two of them are gimmes. Exchange batting gloves, players, etc for points is always one. Second is innings with pitchers from specific teams or innings with batters from certain teams. If you’re playing ranked it’s very easy, two bats get you 18 innings. Pitching is a bit trickier because guys get tired. The there are two online points. My two today were steal a base with a gold. I have trea turner so that was easy. My other was two walks, that’s not happening, I swing at everything. Finally there is a mode called conquest. It’s against the PC but once you get it down it’s really easy to fill the remaining innings you may need from P. I have to warn you, do not start on the willie mays map you’ll never play the mode again. That map is fucking obnoxious.
Dbl I didn’t do one showdown yet. Keep in mind all those points are retroactive as well. Meaning you can still complete the moments, showdown and conquest in August which tally towards your monthly points. I got my second inning guy last week. I think the key is getting those daily challenges knocked out. also it’s hilarious the dudes who put content on YouTube will grind out 300 points in like 7-10 hours so they are the first to own some of the bosses. They’ll then sell them for ridiculous amounts and buy them back later at a fraction of the cost.
If you click into it they will bring up only batting gloves. If you have some in your inventory it will show you. If you don’t, you go to inventory equipment or the market and just buy some for like $26 or something like that. Might take 5 minutes for the order to process assuming you don’t underbid the shit out of the item.
Just checked and Chipper and Victorino are only 40k so I won't even worry about the bosses. I'll just buy those if one comes along that I really want. I really just want the 99s lol. Mainly Mantle and Sheffield. And the only way to get those is to do the entice live series collection, right? Are those the only guys that can't be sold?
I don't want them but where are people unlocking these 95 overall prospects? I think its dumb to even have minor league guys that highly rated.
Yeah I agree, I think the prospect thing was pretty cool, but they should have capped those guys in high 80s and only included a handful of them. I believe the really highly rated prospects are with stage 2 team affinity, or in the rewards of online modes. 12-0 on battle royale, World Series level on ranked season, or that events mode.
I get pushing prospects to get their name out. I'm sure MLB loves that. But make them max 85 and part of a collection to unlock someone like Mantle, not 95 overall beasts that are better than current All Stars.
Just played the best lineup I've seen so far. Minoso Sandberg Mantle Gallo Cabrera Didi Chipper Biggio Hal Idk why he had Gallo in for Sheffield. He used Sheffield and Kemp off the bench. Mantle it one onto the roof at Shibe.
People love that Gallo card. Also I think some people play a rogue lineup if they’re trying to complete some kind of mission.
Haha OK the next one was even better. Thankfully he either felt sorry for me or had something come up bc he offered friendly quit before the first pitch. I gladly took it. 6 99s, 3 95s
Idk what his card looks like or how much it costs but Brusdar Graterol is filthy. Hits 102 and hides the ball so you can't see it until it's halfway to you. Going to try to get him. Never heard of him but he's good on here.
Based on reddit, and this may have been patched, but they were all saying how easy the showdown was for the 2nd stage. Which would be a nice change of pace.
Played some dude on an events game and his team was all at least 96 minus his SP. he was throwing 74 so it just slightly delayed the inevitable mercy rule. He was level 44 prestige. I don’t even know what that means other than he plays a lot.
Is there a way to rig the draftable players in Battle Royale? I played a guy in Battle Royale yesterday that had Mike Trout, Prime Shin-Soo Choo, Joey Gallo, and JD Martinez. That seems unreasonably fortunate to get those four as options in a battle royale draft.
I don’t think so, but it does piss me off when I have let’s say one gold left, and I’d prefer that to be a position player and it gives me four SPs to choose from instead.
Three pitchers I used didnt have a meter at all. I started throwing meatballs well before that. He had like 4 guys with 99 speed too.
Did they change the sliders back on DD? 4 of my last 5 games the winner has had 1 or 2 runs and pretty sure all have been scored on HR's. I want to say I'm terrible but the guys I'm playing against can't hit either. It's not even fun.
