I’d rather poke my eyes out than be in the uniform section longer than it took me to make my blue and white uniforms.
There are dudes on Reddit who will make them for like $3 and they are to the T. I’m not saying I’ve done it so can’t speak to the process but seems like a tight group/good dudes doing it.
Oh damn I may do that actually. Someone mentioned Durham Bulls, that would be cool. Or Bad News Bears. Or maybe the unis from The Natural.
Yeah that’s why I was saying I appreciate it. Not my thing but those dudes seem cool, just guys kind of practicing I guess? Looks great though. I will say there is an entire group that does card concept art. I do not understand that at all.
I read something about how all the logos had to be submitted already for them to be in The Show 21. Was that just for existing logos? Or will people not be able to make new ones in 21?
Not Show related, and I’d guess most of the people posting in here are PS guys, but does anyone have the Xbox S?
Looks like they will do weekly videos showing off some new features and gameplay starting tomorrow afternoon. The tweet I saw said 3pm pacific time.
What is everyone's thoughts on the new game styles? I will probably go the sim route, because I have a problem with stick skills vs. ratings. I want realism, but I also want full control. I used to play Madden on competitive, but an above average user can manipulate it so easily.
The game will be split into three styles, giving players the option to dive deep or play casually. This year's version of MLB The Show will feature Competitive Play, the default mode for online play; Simulation for an "authentic MLB experience;" and Casual for an easier pick-up-and-play experience.
Thanks, I assume that's sort of the same thing that we had last year just rebranded for marketing. I remember when I first got the game it took me like 2 months to even grasp what the hell I was doing in DD. But my guess is. Competitive = Ranked Simulation = Conquest/RTTS Casual is the one I have no clue about. Long story short, they have me at collecting cards through flipping and completing tasks. Coupled in with the Team Affinity I enjoy all the ways you can accumulate stats. Really wish they would somehow incorporate Showdown into that mix. I have no answers regarding how, just would be nice to get the innings and counting stats. If I need 10 hits from Tony Gwynn not sure why it matters where it comes from.
Soriano will be a nasty 2b though. Dude could hit. Jeter as a legend probably won't be great on the game bc of lack of power.
That’s what most seem to be thinking, but they did do a similar troll/teaser last year with Bonds, I think in the Walker reveal.
Also kind of hope there’s more opportunity to use more cards. I just needed something for the Giants, xbh or whatever and used the 96 Panda card. That motherfucker absolutely rakes. Hitting like .750 with him in DD over the last 7-10 days.
I honestly don't worry about defense much bc 75% of hits are HR's so it doesn't matter that much. What is he at 2b?
Scrap metal? I think it was just a pitch down the middle and he hit it out of New Yankee Stadium. God I can't wait for baseball to start.
I'm just saying in general defense doesn't matter as much as it should bc of the % of hits that are HR's.
Right, I think we all agree on that. You just put that on a platter for him there is no way he couldn't take the opportunity. He's been training his entire life for that moment.
Yeah, last year I switched to the joystick one and after a couple games I definitely liked it better. I figure worst case, I will go back to that, but definitely want to check the new way out. I think the 2K games back on 360 had a very similar style but I can't remember how it was.
So far they've announced Alfono Soriano, Grady Sizemore, Roberto Clemente, and today was Kirby Puckett. Clemente should be a 99 overall imo.
Someone on Reddit was saying Climente should be the “end card” or whatever. Not sure if that was just a suggestion or they were guessing of what.
He's worthy for sure. I assumed they'd save the end game guy for last but maybe I'm wrong. Was Mantle last last year?
The year before that I think he means. I think it was Griffey for the Live Series and Wagner for the Collections reward. They definitely rotate which pantheon guys are the top level rewards
Yea Mantle was the one at the beginning. You had to get all Live Series players to unlock him. And then they added MVP Trout later if you completed a bunch of collections.
Na meant last year when they revealed the new legends. Was Mantle the last one revealed? He seemed like the legend they pushed this year bc of the live series stuff.
Got my MLB Fantasy draft tonight, thinking that means I should fire up 20 to get used to playing again.
I think Tatis Jr. also got a Diamond live series. A comment on Reddit said 40 LS diamonds at release.
Some new legends in here, this isn’t all of them but Hank Aaron and Prince Fielder are pretty cool adds. Pedro at the very end too.
Also, this. Feeling pretty whelmed about the potential of the franchise updates. I usually only play franchise, but this past year it was so bad that I just did DD.
Pretty sure I’m going to take off work Friday/Monday and then “have a project” Saturday, to see if I can finish up the live series collection.
