I stand corrected as far as him getting a %. I do still stand by the fact that you can't call him out and bash adidas if you support either trump or desantis. Tell me how they differ?
No not you. But I really can't stand when someone gets up on a soap box about ye then waves the fuck woke or Maga flags. Wish he was not getting the money but the shoes are ridiculously comfortable. Thanks for the link. I'm off my soap box. It's been a day
Seems like they could have put something today or tomorrow to break up next week some. Starting stuff the 6th, then those Huarache’s and AM1’s the 7th, a Dunk the 8th, and a Jordan 1 the 10th.
haha awesome. I love kids getting into it. Last Saturday, I was getting dressed bc we were taking G to a kids pool party and had this exchange: Me: G, Travis am1 or AMM 4's? Her: White Air Force 1's bc I'm wearing crocs and you can't flex on me. I wanted to wear some nice kicks bc some of the guys are into shoes too... but I wore white on white af1's. She started kindergarten in a few months. Trying to find a special pair for her, not sure what yet.
It seems awesome to have your kids into them, until you have to keep buying them, lol. Wanted to get the easter dunks for my daughter, but hard to justify buying $60 shoes she'll wear 2-3 times.
I scooped those up, I think G will wear them a ton bc of the colors. I didn't see anything that screamed Easter on them, it's just a pastel colored Dunk. The only thing is the rabbit and that's on the inside of the tongue. But yea your overall point is correct. The jump in price from PS to GS is going to hurt bad.
My son’s daily beaters for Kindergarten were Blazer lows, he tore up two pairs over the course of the year.
I thought i might get my nephew the reverse mochas the other day. Looked on StockX and they were $224. That was a quick passing thought. Who in the hell is out here paying $200+ for toddler shoes.
That couldn't be further from the truth. Maybe if you only stay in the suburbs, but if you venture into any urban areas, they are super popular. They are popular with kids now too. They aren't Nike's best selling shoes bc of waitresses.
I'm guilty of doing that once, for her 2nd pair of SW. They were $450 or something iirc. No regrets, that's her favorite shoe. Sucks they didn't make GS, just PS and adults. Smallest size they made was a 4 in adults so I'll put one up for her to wear way down the road. But normally it's retail or bust for her.
But seriously, you knew what you were doing when you made that comment so don't get mad at me that it turned into a back and forth.
This. Simon Templar you just have to drop your comment and run from dbl before he gets his hooks in you.
Just let it go man. It’s an entry level priced shoe that allows a vast majority of people to afford that gives them the top brand to identify with. People don’t line up for Sketchers but the swoosh is different. I’m not saying it’s wrong, but with a large amount of people in this country living paycheck to paycheck it gives AF1s an entirely different value proposition than other shoes.
Is that bad? Should I have said around black and brown folks? If so let me know so I can correct moving forward. Y'all know what the f I meant though lol.
Man there's a WHOLE lot of people that wear AF1's that aren't living paycheck to paycheck. Thinking it's just a poor person should is wild and way out of touch.
I’m not saying that but to assume value isn’t built into the decision making process for a fair share of people that are buying the shoe seems pretty out of touch too. It’s like saying the reason Walmart dwarfs all other retail is because of the greeters. Not that it’s widely available and offers a price point value for a large amount of consumers.
For some, sure. What %? No clue. But you have plenty of filthy rich people that choose to wear the shoe daily. It's part of their culture. It's not just a shoe, it's the shoe to a very large demographic of people. You may not like the shoe, and that's fine, but it's not just a shoe for poor people. It's not just a shoe that people wear bc it has a Swoosh on it. It's been the go to shoe for the hip hop demographic from going on 40 years now. It's the staple.
