I don't think every person that went for the SB4 and bought a non-Dunk SB got access. It just meant you could get access. Who knows, these qualifiers are dumb. I get the intent but it never works right.
Yeah. If I don't have access then don't even let it show up on the app then. It just seems like another glitch with the SNKRs app when it happened like that.
The app is so trash constantly that idk if there is any way to know if you were excluded or the app just isnt working. Like i didnt meet the criteria and couldnt hit the submit payment button. But I have had the same problem where i couldnt hit the submit payment button on another release before that didnt have any criteria.
Searched ACG on Nike site dblplay1212 your kid needs this https://www.nike.com/t/acg-utility-dress-toddler-sustainable-dress-lqbq0C/26K768-023
This was one of my favorite shoes as a kid. Iirc the Fab 5 wore them. Geeked they are coming back, even if I'll never wear them.
Man some people pay wild prices on stockx. This Pure Platinum pair is cool but $450? Hell no lol. $110 retail in 2019 and just mever worse them. They can have em.
That Jeter that I recently sold. I bought them on Stockx for $150 lol. Next two were terrible sales and would go for like $4k more now but I got all of them for retail so .
The Nike NFT seems to be a flop. They were opened up to the public last week and now they are allowing you to buy up to 4 of them lol.
I hope they see no one cares and just cut their losses and move on. But im sure theyll just double down on it. Its like them shuffling leadership around and looking to hire people to tell them why air maxes and retros are starting to sit. They just stay out of touch with what consumers really want.
Ehhhh I think it's hard to say that about a company that's been the industry leader for 30+ years now. They're doing something right in knowing what to feed to the people. I do agree that AJ1 and Dunks are getting old and they need to pivot to something new soon though. Not sure what that'll be but they'll figure it out. Things are sitting bc the price of everything has gone up and people don't have as much expendable money now. That's an issue completely separate than Nike milking AJ1 and Dunks for like 4 years now though. On the NFT thing, I think I posted about it, but I was told that it's bigger than just these NFT's. They are trying to set up be able to self-verify all of their products and have their own resell marketplace. I don't think it's just about selling digital shoe boxes.
They publicized they were selling like 160k of them but couldn't. They limited early access and then opened to the public. I'd guess they spent more on advertising it than they made on it. I know you're a crypto guy and all but there's no way to spin this as successful for them and I'm as big of a Nike homer as you'll find.
Any nft project would kill puppies to have those numbers in the bear market. Lmk when you purchase one
I know you all hate them for leaning into this but its legitimately one of the only use cases for nfts that make sense.
His last reply was spot on, but the reason for calling it a failure made no sense. The public sale kept getting pushed back, they did a terrible job of marketing this, but it was always know you could buy 4-5 depending on if you had early access. Blockchain is a public ledger so it’s easy to say he only bought 1 during the initial presale. I’m not sure what quantified this a a failure for dbl, but I guess I can claim I made more sales with my project in day 1 than Nike did The upcoming reveal and future announcements will be fun.
I bought one. Not bc it's an NFT but bc it's Nike. They even stopped referring to it as an NFT at some point, which was interesting. It's weird you NFT guys want to puff your chest out over this but the vast majority of people bought it bc it has a swoosh on it, not bc it's an nft. via Nike SNKRS: https://snkrs.sng.link/Aoihh/9p4r/r_9609d232d9 But yea I bought one. I also just bought a little seat from 1996 in the Nike company store so I'm probably not the best person to judge it off of bc I buy lots of dumb shit bc it has a swoosh.
I don't remember that being the case at all. People that didn't get early access were made bc they didn't they'd be able to get one. They gave out almost enough early access to cover all 160k or whatever it was. Like many these Nike these days, these didn't sell out. In our world, they'd be called a brick.
Of course it is. But then didn't even call it that in the end. They didn't even say digital collectible.
Right, that was my point. In a year the term NFT has gone from super cool with everything wanting to be termed an NFT to Nike not even wanting to call it that bc it would turn off some people. That's interesting to me.
I do think they could have done it better. If they'd made the boxes random and had some orange box or brown box (differents eras) with some classic shoes like Linens and Taiwans mixed in there instead of just random pairs made by AI or whoever that would have drawn in some collectors. They did do one pair of white on whites which is cool but being able to have the only pair of Playstation or Sheeds would have been awesome. If they did am1 and there was only one og red, I'm going to battle over it. But some random shoe that's never existed? Meh.
See the sports card/memorabilia thread. The solution is obvious. But ppl like dbl post weird and false shit and 1-2 ppl eat it up (see the only response to the swoosh “failure” ITT) NFTs as it relates to this thread is for authentication purposes and we should all agree that’s an issue. But yea, the person who claimed the NFT was difficult to purchase was able to get their +1 well before everyone else encountered payment issues so it was a lot easier than they led on…
The site didn't work for a full 24 hours. They pushed back the public release bc if it. After that it was easy bc you could purchase with your regular cc on file. You didn't have to buy ETH to be able to buy it. It was like buying a pair of shoes from them. I'm sure you've stalked my profile enough to be able to see when I bought it compared to when it was supposed to go live.
I love how dbl is trying to gaslight the “NFT guys” when the truth is he said he said wouldn’t buy the NFT, but did before any of the “nft guys” you bought the nft when you said you wouldn’t know you’re accusing me of stalking an online public ledger
Suggesting I made up the difficulties is funny when Nike literally sent an email extending first access bc of said difficulties. It's so weird that you continuously lie about stuff very easily proven.
Not accusing anything. Just going off what you literally posted. How would you know I bought 1 if you didn't check my profile?
What part of “public online ledger” do you not understand? you used the same username on .swoosh and OpenSea as you have on TMB. It’s not hard….
The fact you cared enough to go check is really weird and it's hilarious you can't grasp that. Following someone in public is still considered stalking, weirdo.
It took minimal effort to confirm your purchase after you said ITT you wouldn’t buy the nft Relax big guy
You guys can relax. I had dbl blocked and was initially only responding to Harrison Beck It’s called a conversation. Hit the X button or ignore if you’re offended or continue to be a little bitch
I don't think I ever said I wouldn't buy one. I said I'm not interested in it, and I'm not. I bought 1, not 5. If you want to judge my interest in things based on me buying them bc they have a swoosh, I'm obsessed with mid 90s store seats, puzzles, and mini wooden boxes. My nft interest is on par with all of those.
Nft guys are so fucking weird. They want everyone to be into them like they are when in fact some people just bought it bc it has a swoosh. These guys being so weird is why nike didn't even want to call it an nft.
