Got the Dusty Olives this morning. Also have a pair of Red Swoosh Pandas on the way. Had someone accept my $90 bid on stockx. Will make a nice gameday shoe.
Also looks like the Nike refurb site is working. Took a quick glance and don't' see too much worthwhile. https://refurbished.nike.com/
They originally made them in just white or beige but now they do colors. I think they are making an og red soon.
Shout out to magic erasers, who seem to sacrifice tiny pieces of themselves to get your shoes magically clean.
That might be the first holiday 11 I've seen that sells for under retail. It's not bad looking at all, just too close to actual Concords that just released a few years ago.
I kinda agree but then again even with so many pairs people still didnt get Concords and prices are around $400+ for almost all sizes.
I'm just looking at prices and they are $20 over retail now way before release date. But that seems like the entire sneaker market right now.
Dang i didnt even look at prices on them yet. Ive seen a couple of the resell shops here on insta with some early pairs and they had them over $300 so i assumed there was some demand.
Anyone know how shoes for cbb teams work? Wondering if they are limited to a certain number of pairs per year. Or is there a giant closet of shoes and they can have as many as they want? Do they wear a brand new pair for every game?
I've had a bit of luck emailing the equipment managers. I think they get a few pair per season, but I'm sure they get as many as they need if they break or fall apart.
Depends on the shoe and school tbh. If it's a regular gr for a player at UNC, yea they have about as many of those as they want. If it's a Jordan brand team with a PE like Florida or Oklahoma or Oregon, each player typically gets 1 pair. If it's a player at South Alabama, they probably 1-2 gr pairs for the year.
What's GR stand for? Wondering about South Carolina and UA. (Hold your groans). Seems like they have a different colorway on every game. Wondered if they trade shoes with each other or what.
General release, something you can log on and buy on Nike at any time or walk into FootLocker to buy. UA probably gives SC 50 pairs of 5 shoes or some shit and then each players gets 1-2 of each. Highly doubt they are trading shoes, they all have more then enough to wear. ohhaithur might be able to comment here.
Re: trying to get extra gear off managers as a fan, I feel like anything left over would be XXXXXL and not fit most of us.
Football usually has plenty of normal size stuff. Basketball doesnt get near as much to start with and they get tons of tall stuff. Like their travel suits will be XLT +4in. Ive got a couple things from FSU basketball and its just impossible to wear. Ive got a pair of practice shorts that are XL but the added length makes them hang to my shins.
