Sorry - I ment terrain. If you're hiking the Grand Canyon, you'll likely want more than trail runners & ankle support would be desirable. If you aren't dealing with much elevation gain/loss, trail runners should be sufficient

REI has a bunch of trail runners marked down, as new models are releasing - I swear by the Altra Lone Peaks for hiking, but I'm a zero-drop guy. Salomon makes some great hiking shoes too & looks like they have a bunch of Nike trail shoes marked down as well, if you're brand loyal

I’d say get the new 9s that just released… pretty big upgrade from the 8s, from what I’ve read.

No, Nike doesn't sell replacement laces. Sucks for shoes with specific laces like that.

 

Maybe order a women's pair and ship them back missing one lace. Idk if they'd be the same length with them being smaller.
