How good is your freestyle What's your favorite stroke Do you do flip turns What's your fastest 50 freestyle
Ok Butterfly Of course Can do like a 26-27 second 50 yard freestyle off the wall. Guessing that's at least a 24-25 seconds off the block.
Oh you're serious I like you Swimming is a great source of cardio, ROM etc, though I won't touch it for a bit longer. Hard to get in the water after swimming for 21 years of my life and throughout college. Also, butterfly here too.
There's a fiftysomething bantam rooster of a guy at my gym with the face of Stephen Root and David Lee Roth's hair who walks naked around the locker room talking to everybody like he's at some fucking office water cooler. Goddammit put a towel over that thing already
Really enjoying it not being summer anymore. Up to 192 from 174 at my lowest, back on creatine, eating a lot more, lots of volume work... and best of all, jeans don’t fit my quads anymore, which is a first.
Yeah, I wouldn't pay much attention to things I say around midnight on weekends. I was slightly out of my mind.
Just finished my metabolite mesocycle today. Feel like I made really good progress. I couldn't imagine doing that on a cut though. Will be starting a 4 week strength meso on Tuesday. Excited to see how the hypertrophy blocks have impacted my 1RM
I have three pair and they're all about the same: Brooks, Skethcers, Nike. Just get whatever's the cheapest
I got a $50 UA pair and a $15 pair at Walmart and they feel the same to me. So +1 on going with the cheapest
So apparently the creator of Mesomorph went to jail for defying a court order to stop putting DMAA in their prewo. So I bought 3 jars of it!
Tesla pants on amazon prime are about $15 shipped. Good for lifting, not too comfortable all day. I’ve paid more, but synthetic fabrics of any sort or expense all get shredded on a Power bar’s aggressive grip. Got a link?
Saw that. Didn't want to post it. I hate when I see that. People like talking shit in the comments and it annoys me.
I wonder how old that dude is. 40? 50? I want to be active and healthy later in life, but that’s just case in point to understand the natural aging process. Tendons aren’t as strong, bone density decreases, and muscles rebuild more slowly.
Just signed up with The Strength Athlete for coaching. Ready to get this total to a respectable level
So after not pulling heavy for A month I took 545 for a ride. Hammy feels fine. No issues. I feel the DOMS a mile away. I felt like I had more in the tank but I didn't want to push it. 365 4x6
Did 365 which was 10 over pr, had my running shoes on so maybe can do a bit more but that was pushing it. Dropped a few pounds so getting over my pr was encouraging considering. Got a couple ~80 yard farmer walks in with 200 pounds of dumbbells
Product review: This thing holds up to 2 powders. The funnel is retarded, you'd think it would screw into the ends so you can seamlessly pour into a water bottle. Nope, it's way too small so you have to awkwardly hold it at an angle and pour at a snails pace to try to avoid spilling. I've spilled every (once so far) time. For the preworkout I just threw the mini PWO scoop that comes with the supplement in, no need for the funnel. There's a bit too much room designated for the preworkout. I could fit probably 10+ servings, which is cool but I got this product for on the go use and I'd rather it be as small as possible. Room for ~4 scoops (ON sized scoop) of protein which seems an appropriate amount. Overall the craftsmanship is on the cheap side, proportions are off and it's basically a big piece of crap, but I love feeling like a meathead and needing to carry both my pre and post workout supplements with me everywhere I go so for that I give this a 10/10.
1st time doing high rep DL in a while. 4 sets of 10 at 315. by the 4th set it feels like a 5 minute set with the regrouping at the bottom. also tried doing slow motion "archer pullups"... I can do about 3 on each side those things are no joke
I'm hitting a wall on both my presses on 5x5 are at pathetic weights. Never been my strong suit, but lookinfor advice on what I can add or change to get my numbers up on those lifts.
it won't be happening again anytime soon. from warm up to the last set it was probably a 30-40 minute session just for DL
Haven't been adding any targeted tricep assistance. Dips, weighted push-ups, and skull crushers are what I generally add but they aren't getting the job done.
That's not high rep. Try getting through some Smashed Cats (10 sets of 10) or a single set of 50 reps then report back.
Assuming you’re just getting back into it and/or starting there’s definitely some technique changes that will probably help. Other than that maybe throw some dumbbell pressing in and push up the volume on the skull crushers and add in tricep pushdowns
I've been doing the program for a little over two months now, still seeing gains in Squat, Deadlift, and Barbell Row, but my presses have always been weak and I've just flat out platued way to early on these lifts. I'll try and focus my assistance lifts on tricep/press related activities to stimulate more growth there. Thanks.
I do not own a wheelchair or handicapped scooter. ran some data and I actually think what you're suggesting is a really bad idea since my car requires usage of legs to operate in order to get home
I was plateauing on bench and moved to a wider grip, and after reading a Jim Wendler article started doing 50 reps of light OHP on bench day. Then did my regular OHP on shoulder day. Bench Steady climbing after just two weeks of that. You can just eat your way there too.
