Tough to get 2 heavy weights up the same time solo for me. 65s is the most I can get up. Doing dumbbell press on a bench and can pick 1 up at a time and rest it on your leg but obviously can't do that on the floor
Had a great day Squats 5x3 225 Bench 10-135, 8-185, 6-205, 4-225, 2-145, 1-275, 1-285(just missed) I have 8 days off going to Europe. Being sore on a plane for 10 hours is gonna be miserable
It's amazing how much better I feel when I use the standing desks at work and go for a walk at lunch, compared to sitting in a chair all day. Trying to get up 10 minutes earlier so I can get in a quick foam roll before work each day.
Started yesterday with low volume high weight traditional pulls, then did lower weight sumo towards the end. First time with sumo, FitBod app recommended it. What’s the ELI5 difference between the two? From a form standpoint, sumo seems significantly easier and stronger, but people tell me it’s much more technical than traditional.
Sumo is more uprightand can fail more quickly due to its technical nature. If you’re in a bad starting position you’re gonna miss. Conventional you can kind of manhandle the weight a bit, but not it’s sumo. Biggestthing for me is breaking the floor by spreading your feet and not pulling up
Body weight exercises are woat after putting on these 20lbs (of rip) this offseason. Pull up game weak af rn Unrelated - favorite new lift is side lateral to front raise dumbbells, good shit try it fgt
In case anyone wants to drop $600 on a bar, I just wrote a review on this one: http://garagegymlab.com/intek-functional-trap-bar-review/
If you did the pictures good job. I didn’t read the words, I’m sitting in the squat rack summoning the courage to lift after my longest break in 6 years (Tavel and illness for 2 weeks). I was thinking about this recommendation the other day and couldn’t remember which bar it was...very good timing.
my new gym has an ohio bar, it’s bendy and knurles are rough af. way different than my old gym’s bar(s) and i can do more weight with a stiff bar.
deadlift bar, per what the owner told me. i’m not used to having these things available to me. i don’t really know the difference in them.
Nice review. Very interested but need to get more room first, exercise room is pretty stuffed right now.
Anybody ever used a ShouldeRok? Seems like it might help rehab and/or prehab some of the shoulder pain I get.
We were talking at the gym about some women pee themselves during deadlifts. I made the comment, “yea some people shit themselves under a squat”. I’ll. Be. God. Damned. If I didn’t so squt a set of 5 and on the 3rd rep I let out a fucking loud ass sputtering fart that the whole fucking city of Nashville had to hear.
I’m squatting tomorrow. There’s never a working rep where the fear of shitting myself isn’t running through my head.
Great thing about headphones while lifting: I can't tell if the fart I let sneak out is silent or not
I was doing sit-ups at the gym tonight and a girl sat down near me to stretch and I just knew it was a matter of time until I farted.
The past 3 days I have done nothing but rip ass randomly. I don't have the balls to squat or pull in this condition.
I just struck a partnership with Intek because of my review of the functional trap bar. They are sending me some free stuff and offering me a discount code that I can offer my readers and followers. So if you guys ever want to purchase anything from Intek, I can get you 10% off anything at their store.
Have any of you ordered supplements off Amazon? Heard if it's safe or not? I know Amazon has a lot of counterfeit stuff in their warehouses. Also, what are you guys taking that works these days? Preworkout worth it?
