Any reason I shouldn’t take Myprotein Impact Whey? Impact Whey Isolate? What’s the go-to protein for quality/price these days?
So just a quick update on using Reverse Pyramid Training. I've been throwing in an extra volume set at the end. Coming from more of the lower rep heavier set mindset to this has been a challenge so it's kinda refreshing. I still struggle warming up for this because I get paranoid about missing 8's Benched 255x9 230x10 205x12 185x15 Gym was packed so I ohp 135x8 115x10 100x15 100x9
Andy Huang and Brandon Allen have a new podcast. This is their latest episodes intro. It’s so stupid, but I laugh everytime
signed up at Capitalcitybarbell.com yesterday. Excited to be a part of a real gym and am able to drop weights and be loud
Really doesn't matter a ton imo, eat most of your protein. I have Syntha 6 Just to give me a post workout boost til I can eat.
Protein shakes satisfy my sugar cravings. Plus you can blend in tons of veggies and not change the taste.
My after dinner dessert this week has been 4oz heavy cream, 4oz whole milk, 1 scoop chocolate whey. Shit tastes like ice cream
I’ve kept carbs under 20g/day for over a year and just maintain weight unless I do intermittent fasting along with keto.
first day at the new gym. Loved being able to use an Olympic bar. My workout went awful with no energy. But worked up to a shitty single and got some volume in on front squats
Also, big fan of lat pull down “this is way too heavy for me but I can move it a little if I lean all the way back” guy.
I row 2-4K several days a week just as a warm up. I don’t do a lot of running anymore because I’ve been squatting 4x a week lately. Sadly I have a job that used to be half and half field work and desk work. Now it’s 90% desk and the best I can do is I’ve switched to a standup desk (would recommend). I should add more cardio post training though.
Need a program to follow instead of just randomly doing what comes to mind. Workout in garage. I have a barbell with bumpers, dumbbells, and medicine ball. Anyone have a routine or a site to look at?
Nail file. But I'm lazy so I rip them often. I'm happy I focused on choking the shit out of my thumbs. It really was a mental block. I'm not sure if I can pull more hook but we'll see
I use cuticle tools to cut mine down. Then after a shower I rub them with a towel and more comes off.
You a new lifter and what are your goals? I've really only lifted routinely for a year and made so many mistakes and just finally feel like I've got a good program going. Ask capstone, lhprop, and the other strong guys in here questions as they are good in answering them. Figure out how many days a week you want to lift and the areas you want to target and they'll help a lot. Currently doing 5/3/1 for main lifts(they have an app for it) and like it. Do a lot of dumbbell and medicine ball stuff on weekends as I'd rather stay home and watch sports and exercise than go to the gym.
LiftingGenie is my go to. Flexible tape so you don’t have to wrap around the knuckle What are your goals? TYdeFan05 hit it
I over-simplify contributing factors to health and aesthetic goals as the following: 40% weight training 40% diet 20% cardio Also have to consider sleep habits.
