Find some quality blocks... Get them for free.. . Review then give them to me for free so I can replace the ones at my gym Thx
Haha thankfully not. Still have 2/3 of the garage left. Most of the stuff I have right now is pretty small footprint.
Life hack: if you keep your upper back tight you won’t get pitched forward coming out of the hole on a squat coaching link in bio
#LifeHack: go on vacation, get hurt, don't lift for 3 weeks.... Hit a 2 kilo PR??? .... Don't lift... Get stronger??
It's not too sexy and completely selfish because I don't have any...but what about a wrist wrap comparison? In general, a comparison of some of the lighter/cheaper equipment would be cool and may get you more views, as I assume there are more transactions (and thus more people looking for reviews) at those price points than something like a specialty bar.
Anyone tried a squat specific program? I’m debating trying Candito’s squat program and it has squats 5x/week.
I’ve been seeing some anecdotal and some research showing some positives from setting it up in a Daily Undulating style. This is a good video with a 12 week block in it
This F'n shoulder is killing me. I haven't been able to lift overhead in months. Finally going to see a Dr. next Monday. F...
Sprained my wrist doing incline bench like a fucking dummy(my set up was bad and pulled it up and out too far so all the pressure went to my arms) so it's all leg machines and extra cardio this week, I hate my life.
Anybody in here take a BCAA supplement? Looking at options and have no idea what I’m looking for/doing.
Ordered a Sorinex Glute Ham Roller. I want to put it up against a GHR to see if the size of the GHR is really worth it. The GHR offers for some additional movements over the roller, but the roller offers quite a lot more versatility than the GHR. I also talked to the rep over there who was recommended by a community bud, and I'm thinking about ordering a 6-post rack in the near future. Can apparently get me a nice deal given the exposure and since I'm a Gamecock. Finally, being a fan of USCe comes through.
Here are a few examples. Hamstring curl is the most relevant when comparing to a traditional GHR. Obviously it takes up much less space.
Did you feel that helped?? Intermittent fasting seems interesting to me but I don't feel like I could do it working out in the AM. I see ppl talk about BCAA, but it seems impossible to me
Only way I was able to do it was PM workout. No way you can stop eating at like 4 and wait until the next morning
I started fasting on my off days, try to make it 16 hours from dinner the night before to meal the next day. It's pretty easy, not sure if it helps. Starting creatine also upped my weight like 5 pounds and has me annoyed
I’ve done IF for stretches before working out early AM and it didn’t bother me. Apparently fasted training is the major (only?) area where BCAA’s have had some positive research, but I didn’t feel like I needed them.
I've heard ppl say they are full from feasting the night before, but trying to workout on an empty stomach then not eating for hours after seems terrible
Tweak my back doing paused beltless squats today. First day of my new block leading to testing. Shit better be good to go for deadlifts tomorrow
I want to give the 5/3/1 a whirl with bench press. Am I only supposed to do the workout once a week or multiple?
? What do you mean “for bench press”? 531 is more of an overall program. I guess you could use the bench day programming for your bench day, but that isn’t really how it is intended. If I recall correctly, in the book he was a big proponent of the military press day for overall strength, as well. I would assume there are better programs if your focus is bench.
5/3/1 is fine, but with that youll definitely need more than 1x frequency to see any kind of material gains
I'm content with my overall fitness/lifts so i'm not looking for an overall routine. I've been trying to increase my pushup score on my PT test and doing more pushups hasn't shown significant progress. So I want to focus on something focused on bench press to see if that will show more progress. Do you have any suggestions on a bench specific program? What frequency would you recommend?
I haven’t tried any bench specific programs, but I liked Candito’s other programming, so you could give his a shot. That being said, I’m wondering if a body building program would be better for your goal. Most powerlifting programs are going to try to build you to a high single, as opposed to a higher volume of bodyweight. While the two have similarities, you may need different paths to optimize one over the other. Either way, good luck.
I woke up to18 inches of standing water in my crawl space after a total sump pump failure during hurricane florence.
