hensleya , what do you recommend for an open hex bar. Have some real sentimental feelings towards my cheap ass $100 bar but would like to do lunges and other things more comfortably with 1. Thinking about a decent GHD too
I own the Intek Mod F and I love it. The Kabuki trap bar is another solid option but it’s not rackable. The Eleiko is rackable but it doesn’t have dual handles. The Intek has both.
Just the metallic black. As much as I wanted the clear coat, I added on so much that I had to cut costs somewhere
You’ll have to post a pic when you get it setup! Their 4000 series looks great. I can’t wait to see the revamped 5000 series in stainless. Here’s my current setup... at least most of it pictured. Just got the Rep urethane DBs unloaded today.
For those who want a home gym but do not have a lot of space and eight foot ceilings - I can not recommend enough the Rogue SML - 2C. I was looking at getting the RML-490C but the only accessary I miss out on is the straps. The safety arms work great, perfect for squat/bench and the matador has no issues when placed on the inside. Love Rogue.
You're not supposed to do a side by side comparison in the mirror, dummy. Better post a pic to be safe.
I like a clean gym - what can I say? Haha. I sweep it every day. I dust my rack off every week. I brush my bars after every use. Just what I do.
Lasha just put on the greatest weightlifting show of all time Snatch - 220kgs/485lbs World Record Clean & Jerk - 264kgs/582lbs World Record Total - 484kgs/1,067lbs World Record Snatch: Clean & Jerk
He absolutely had more on his snatch and I think a few more on his clean. He’s gonna snatch 227/500 And close in on 272/600 clean and jerk in Tokyo
Think those are very doable if he got more rest but since nobody ever attempts a lift after his second and many times his first, seems a tall task even for him. Imagine 267 is his main goal now. Opener C&J was the first time I've seen him look human in a few years.
That’s a great point. When he took that opener there was only 1 active lifter. I think he constantly lifts to 90-93% of his potential to stave off injury and build a full total
Was squatting light this morning, only 335 on the bar. I was focusing on keeping a strong chest and back, but guess I lost focus on my actual legs because my left knee rolled in on me. I caught myself but definitely felt a tweak. Oddly enough, my RIGHT knee is actually sore now, so who knows. Probably hurt it on the recovery.
I used to have really good upper back posture with my shoulder back, chest out, etc. after working at a desk job for a few years now its gone to absolute shit. I do a ton of rear delt work and try to keep good posture when I think about it but my shoulders still slouch forward big time. anyone have any remedies battling this? whether it be stretches, specific exercises, chair settings etc.
do you have one? reviews looks pretty good. looks like casual can be worn for long periods of time and the formal one is for short times/warmups etc
I don’t, but that’s solely due to me dragging my feet and being lazy. I’ve heard nothing but good things on them. Donnie is a massively insecure dude, but he knows his shit
I have a bow tie. Both a formal and a casual. I honestly never use them. I would look into DTs band protocol. He has a couple YouTube videos on it. Consider throwing in some KB arm bars. I also keep a couple bands at my desk. Every hour my alarm on my phone goes off and do some pull aparts, dislocates, and distractions. I also do scapula wall slides at the office and stretch/active release my pec minor
I don't think I'd have the discipline to stick to a routine like this, but I like the idea of starting with keeping a band at my desk and at least a few times a day do a short routine with it. What exactly are distractions though?
Better. Got my SBD sleeves in. Have to return the XL's and keeping the L. But damn these are tight...
Do you have any links where you'll get a kickback if I buy something? Didn't see anything on your site
Disappointed that Duffin and Kabuki would design a bar that doesn’t fit into 47” wide racks. They hyped this up as a bar to be used by professional sports teams, among others. Sorinex is crushing the sports/facilities game and they exclusively make 47” racks. Come on, man!!
Pulled 495 4x2. Forgot how much I hate LifeTimes bumper plates. Absolute junk. Expensive ass Eleiko bar, rack, and decking with the shittiest bumpers. Unreal.
You’ll damage your rack and j-cups using the bar. Posted more about it on my IG stories if you’re on there. It’s a major design flaw. Meanwhile Coop said it’s of the best multi-grip bars he’s ever “reviewed”, he’s used Jt for everything, and it’s one of the “best designs”. We have the same width rack. Lol. He’s also owned the bar for 1.5 days.
Rogue is 49, as are some others. But Sorinex is 47 and so are the higher series Rep racks. 47 is becoming much more popular. It’s just a big design flaw
