Believe I've bought everything critical for the home gym. - Spotter Arms coming from Rogue - 1.25# rubber plates from Titan - 2.5/5# rubber plates from Eleiko (god damn things are 2x everyone else, but only place in stock) - Titan Slam Pads...hoping to muffle the noise enough to not piss off wife. I've got a 15% off coupon from HD and will buy a bunch of Plywood in the next week or so. Then just have to hang the rack on the wall and wait for the weights to arrive in about a week.
Back was absolutely killing me today, plan was a pretty easy 4x6 @275 zerchers. Took me like 10 sets to get to 24 reps, not sure what I did was smart but whatever.
We’ve crossed the 500g carb mark. When I started with my nutrition coach I weighed 248 I was eating 2600 cals on rest days and 2800 on training days. Now my rest days are 2800 and my training days are 3700. Hits.
My new barbell came yesterday. Used it this morning for the first time and it was great. Looks awesome too.
I had a basic Titan bar which I really didn’t like with the 30mm diameter. Ended up getting a brand new black cerakote training bar from American Barbell off eBay. The first one got lost, so I may actually have a second coming.
I've done RP before and the most I think it ever gave me was 370g of carbs. So are you waiving bye to us little guys in the 105 class?
Haha nah I’m sitting pretty for 105. If I compete again this year it’ll be a USPA meet with my friend. We’ll see what happens next year
feels so bad. got a rack/barbell over xmas but no weights and then finally got to the point I was ready to buy weights and boom covid.
Fringe Sports has some Bumpers on back order and you can place them. Seems like Rep and Rogue have theirs pop up every now and then, just have to subscribe. Vulcan seems to have a lot of their bumpers on pre-order for 8/20 Pre order seems you best bet, even if they show up a little late
Hard to brag about a deadlift on this page, but I pulled 550 like an opener today. I’m starting to feel “back”
Went to the gym yesterday. There were maybe 20 people in 10’000 sq ft. I was never within 10 ft of another person. Everyone had masks on and they have all equipment blocked off for social distancing. Felt safer there than my old job for sure. Plenty of spray bottles to clean off equipment before and after use.
And then I think of all those chinese ventilation tests showing it'll spread to everyone in a building
My old lady keeps looking on Zillow for homes. Garage / basement size is the only thing that gets a hard no from me. I need temp control to lift. I'm so soft. This heat is only getting worse.
Assuming this thing doesn’t get much worse (likely will) I’ll be back on the platform Dec 5th in Kentucky or 19th in St Louis.
I know it’s been discussed at abuse in but does anyone have any recommendations on a home gym set up and where to purchase the equipment. References to pages in the thread would also be appreciated.
Rogue Rep Titan Vulcan I got various items from those four companies just as things became available in stock. Unless things have changed, you need to set up email updates on those websites for items you want as they come back in stock. I got the T3 squat stand from Titan with spotter arms. I wanted the Rep PR-1000 power rack instead, but beggars can't be choosers, and the squat stand has worked for what I need. I also already had a pullup bar, so I didn't necessarily need that functionality from my rack or stand anyway. Got an olympic bar from Rogue. Plates from Rogue. A flat bench from Vulcan. Stall mats from Tractor supply. That took care of it for me. It took a few months to get it all as I slowly ordered as things got back in stock. Good luck.
Toss in Fringe Sports too They ateast have stuff with back order fulfillment dates. It's better than nothing. Being slightly ODC, I really wanted weights from 1 place, but I had to get: 1.25 from Titan 2.5/5 from Eleiko 10# one type from Fringe Sports 25/35/45s another type From Finge Sports Bench from Rep Rack from Rogue Barbell from American Barbell Really hit up everyone except Vulcan and that's where I really wanted bumpers from
A lot happening, boys. Closed on the new house, last day of “work” tomorrow, gym flooring install starting tomorrow. Shit is about to get real.
Sigh...... Fringe was supposed to ship my Savage bumpers yesterday and apparently there was "quality" issues so they can't fill them Option was wait until December or they'll swap out and send me black MIL spec bumpers. This shit is so frustrating. I just did the swap to get it over with
Yeah. I'm glad I gave them my money 6 weeks ago. Suck bc I could have ordered some Vulcan stuff a week or so ago. I mean... That probably could have been delayed to. Rogue finally had stuff in stock thst I wanted But fuck this industry is a nightmare right now
Check Amazon repeatedly. I luckily found two 45lb plates for $120 each free shipping. Arrived today so not a scam and less expensive than what I’m finding elsewhere
Training is going really well right now. All of my lifts are taking jumps week to week without moving up in RPE. 17 weeks out I believe
485 x 3 on squat today for a programmed RPE 10. Felt good considering, probably could have put more weight on the bar and still made it. Feeling good 6 weeks out.
I get Jeff from AthleanX is a giant douche canoe but I had no idea until today the mounting evidence of him faking lifts.
Whats the scale of the fake lift? Is he pretending to DL like 600 but can only get 400 in reality? Seems weird since the audience likely doesn't give a shit
