Oh hell naw... Just keep grinding man. It took me a while before my bench hit a wall. And hopefully that will get cleared up here soon..
wonder if he as a contract that has bonuses for World record lifts and totals. so he just keeps increasing his lift by 1kg each comp to maximize money. Sergei Bubka did it for the pole vault 35 times to do that
hensleya Best deal on a sled? Not looking for a full prowler, just a plate loaded sled to drag around to increase work capacity.
Haven’t been to the gym in a year and a half almost due to COVID. Back at it later today. I feel like a marshmallow and will be lifting very light. Going to be a big ego hit. Oh well.
Ramp up water intake then stop 24 hours out from weigh in. Your body thinks it’s still in a state of receiving a ton of water and keeps flushing it all out. Easy way to manipulate weight
242. I really need to be 275 to fill my frame out though. Down the road I may compete in 275 but weight like 255
Been back in the gym for a month now and finally felt comfortable with 225 on my back for squats, and pulling 275 on dead’s for sets of 5. Biggest thing I noticed as I eased back in was my joints took longer to acclimate to the movements than my muscles were ready to lift.
As of Monday I can incline my body weight +10 pounds for 6 relatively easily. Crazy because I when I was younger I struggled doing my body weight for even a couple reps. Reverse pyramid training has been good to me.
1st time deadlifting in 3+ years and I was able to rep out 315 5 times for my last set. Feels good man—especially that I’m 40lbs lighter than I was on 1/1
Is 9/9, PRs on all lifts (2 squats were PRs, 1 was bench after super infrequent training for months, all deadlifts were PRs), a 93lb PR total good? 573 squat (33lb PR), 347 bench (6lb PR), 622 deadlift (50lb PR). 700kg/1,543lb total (93lb PR)
I’ll be real with you, I had been having doubts about my future with the shoulder issues. Was I actually getting better, Could I be competitive, etc. Then today was perfect. I’m so over the moon right now.
Y’all know I love Pioneer... a lot... but Beltfed has taken over. Just got my belt. The level of customization and detail is unmatched. All hand pressed and hand painted. Mine is simple in comparison to some of their others.
I would like to get something like this for my garage but need it to be shorter. I think my garage doors are about 7’ or shorter and this and the near identical Rogue one is 90” help!
