He looks so much smaller on stage than his gym posts, but maybe that is just seeing how big guys like CBum are
Biggest reason I can’t vote for Trump is he’s a fat fucking slob, but if it’s a fit guy vs Pritzker in 2028 then idk man.
What you're doing def stands out better now. Best of luck, I will hire you to install my Dane 2.0 and rest of my home gym when I am rich. TY
IDK about this but def seen a few gym influencers (ones that are actually somewhat knowledgeable vs just hey I'm hot and here are my meals) come out and start saying some bordline MAGA level shit.
Slapping on some new knee sleeves this morning and replace old ones that lose their compression is an under rated feeling.
Just got a Fringe Fitness belt squat attachment with the kickstand for my power rack. I've used it a couple times and it's been pretty great. I feel a lot more comfortable going harder and going to failure with the belt rack than I do on a back squat. I just don't want to wreck my low back again like I've done a couple times going heavy on back squats. Now I can go with comfortable weights on the back squat and get stupid with the belt squat.
What are the chances you could do gym flooring for me in Atlanta? My home gym is only like a 12x12 room, but it's currently carpeted and I'd prefer something a little firmer like the rubber flooring. I got a quote a while back from a guy for like $3,200. It was for 3/8" Interlocking Rubber Tiles/Black w/Green Flecks and Primed Quarter Round trim. Wasn't sure how reasonable that was, and I'd rather give that work to a TMB brother if possible.
Hooper looked crazy strong too, think he was good for around that too but let Thor do his thing. Thor may have started too light and had too long between first 2 lifts Max jerk is gonna be a lot of fun but Mitch is becoming unbeatable in full shows
Think he’s overweight bc he was chasing 501 plus shaved his head and beard for a movie role and just looks weird
Amazing performance by Lucas Hatton, turned what was likely a win in a landslide by Hooper into a fun competition. Hooper is just a machine though
I watch all the strongman shows available, that was the best 1 in a while and very encouraging for the near future Thor’s overhead strength is nearly back after tearing his pec, would have been way closer to Hooper if he didn’t attempt 501. Hatton just needs to get his deadlift up and he’ll be right there too, can’t lose 4 points on any event to Hooper. Austin Andrade was great and Trey Mitchell is a beast, he just has an unfortunate nerve injury where he can’t do the timber carry. Tom seems to have a back injury not fully recovered but he needs to win something besides WSM. Evan Singleton just annoys me,he talks so much then gets 5th or 6th every major competition. He did a 250 kg jerk in training then topped out at 227 or 232 in the event. Shut up until you do anything, Luke Stoltman is the same and thankfully they didn’t invite that scumbag good talk
definitely putting the weight on. seeing him reminded me of how big and bloated Z and Eddie always looked. also dislike Singleton.
Appreciate ya, bud. It’s possible, but would may need to time it with another job. We just got one in Atlanta actually. Sara Blakely’s neighbor. Let me at least get you pricing. 12x12 is a really easy install because the width works perfectly with the rolls. You won’t be stuck ordering an extra roll because of a weird width. And I do recommend rolls over tiles for performance and aesthetics.
Started lifting again recently after stopping for almost a decade. One thing I've noticed is I feel like I need more sleep which kind of sucks. Like, I hit 7 hours and my body really wants to keep sleeping for another hour or 2. Anyone else get that?
The worst thing about protein bars is most have that horrible shitty texture. Barebells don't at all. Carmel cashew >
Yeah definitely avoid interlocking mats or tiles if at all possible. Cleaning them and cleaning underneath them becomes a massive pain to do.
Unfortunately every year I get older the harder it is for me to get great sleep. I'm "asleep" for 8 hours a night but I have an oura ring that I track it with and almost every night I lose about an hour to wakes ups and tossing and turning. Even if I go to sleep earlier I usually just wake up a little earlier that offsets it, it's hard for me to get more sleep.
I need to be in bed 9 hours to get 7.5 of sleep according to my Oura. I had a sleep study done last Friday and it tracked me waking up on average once every 12 minutes over the course of the night.
Sleep apnea? My Oura ring was how I found out I had it. Was registering tons of wake ups and low oxygen readings so I got a sleep study done. My sleep still isn't as good as I wish it was, but its worlds better with a cpap machine.
No obstructive apnea. They did observe premature ventricular contractions which my panic Googling suggests may interfere with sleep quality. Should also explain why my HRV is always so low. It averages around 10-12ms
Hello all. Not a big lifter as of late but I got pretty into it for a bit years ago. Still consider myself a novice though. What do you guys consider an appropriate age to start lifting? I've got an 8 year old that wants to start.
Don’t, you’ll stunt his growth. /s I’d start him any time doing foundational stuff. My kids have been out there picking up slam balls, swinging kid kettlebells, carrying things, pushing the sled, etc since they were 3-4.
Never too early. Just have him doing body weight stuff at the beginning if you're too concerned. Seems most people think 7/8 is a good time to start. I mess around with my son when I'm lifting and he does 5lbs and benches with a broom stick or my wife's 2lb dumbells
Got bumped in my test script from 100ml to 140ml. Test levels still in the upper 500s. Idk what exactly happened, but before I was getting 2bottles and talking.5 ML. Now I should be taking .7 a week so 2.8ml a month. But the script is for 5ml. I've been over prescribed. Can't put food in front of a dog and expect him it to eat
Yeah, I noticed that they were single dose vials. But I've used half one time and half the next. In the past. I've never thrown away a lot. Maybe because I'm over half of the vial?
Maybe? I take .75 twice a week and my pharmacist had to get my script changed to reflect that the viles were single use. I absolutely reuse them so Im working building up a stockpile of TRT now.
