In a meet you're also going to rest a lot longer than you probably did at the gym. Seems a little low on your 2nd lift. If you did 485, you probably could nail that on your 2nd lift and set a PR a decent bit higher.

No, the bottle says Alphavar 20 on it. It also has a batch number and born on date. I can't find much about it except it being mentioned on 2 msg boards on a Google search but I can't find what is actually being said about it.
Never heard of it. Sounds like some suppliment trying to play off of anavar which is a legit cutting steroid. The "20" might be a play ont the actual dosage of anavar pills being 10mg.
Anyone ever get a wrist injury on the pinky side? Google leads me to believe I have a TFCC tear. I didn't feel it for a few hours after working out but the first week or so it was really painful, couldn't even twist it to start my car without wincing. It's been about 3.5 weeks and I don't really have any pain day to day but still don't feel comfortable picking up a weight yet.
There's something magical about the whole experience. I love being able to train with my shirt off, blasting Slayer (or whatever the fuck I wanna listen to because no one else is there) through my garage stereo system, not having to worry about some dipshit stealing my weights, and then pounding a few beers as a post workout drink while I put my stuff away. Meanwhile, there's a bunch of chumps at some stupid gym that doesn't allow chalk, lined up waiting for the cable crossover machine.
Are you stretching your wrists? I have bitch wrists, which makes me susceptible to wrist pain. Stretching them regularly helps. Wear wrist wraps on pressing movement if you need to
No stretching but will once I'm back in the gym. I bought one of these (https://www.wristwidget.com/) and plan on wearing it for the foreseeable future when lifting. Also think I was just overworking myself and put a lot of strain on it and it finally gave.
Probably a tear or strain. Sometimes it can feel worse than it is but still take care of it That bone on that side went to the other side on me, shit hurt! Or I also got a tiny bone fracture in a small bone in my wrist from dumbbell bench(years ago and I was doing it wrong)

My next contest is 2 weeks out, so I was doing some event training yesterday. Too bad it was 5 degrees and my driveway was glare ice. Running with 550 lbs on my back and then coming back with 241 lbs in each hand gets a little dicey when you can't get your footing. Also, I don't have enough weight to bring everything up to contest weight. I'm 50 lbs light on the yoke. BEFORE AFTER
Went to Carolina Fitness Equipment this morning to grab a beater bar. Had aspirations of grabbing a sweet used split sleeve york or something, but slim pickings. Their used collection wasn't what I hoped. I ended up picking out this beauty of a barbell. Impressed? Don't be, there is absolutely nothing special about this Chinese barbell... I bought it for the sole purpose of ravaging it in my landmine and anything else I don't want to put my nice bar(s) through. It was $100 out the door new. Whatever. It does have a yoked Minotaur on it though. I will add that Carolina Fitness Equipment is a pretty cool place. Like a kid in a candy shop

Try it without the mirror for a bit and see how you like it. I actually can't imagine lifting with a mirror now, since I wasn't at my old gym and I'm not at home now.

You guys that are into building your own gym should look into the stuff on this part of bb.com. Some good info, but I do get a laugh at the 5'10 165lb guys that have 10k on weights and monster squat racks.
