I don't compete anymore and don't plan on it. I do squat though, as it's probably the single best compound exercise there is. Squatting and Deadlift will always be in my routine. I definitely do more reps and less volume now. Just easier to recover from. I've never had a bodybuilder physique per se, but never a power lifter physique either, as I'm 6-6. For the past 4 months or so I'm definitely doing more hypertrophy work and enjoy it. I do like having muscular legs though no matter how small they actually are.
Already have. Just did my 3rd work-out on the trap bar last night. Still getting used to it with heavier weights and the decreased ROM. I have one with the raised handles.
Anyone have a meal prep container, lunch box, or bento box thing they really like? Getting tired of my whack ass glass tupperware and want something with compartments.
I'm all about that Pyrex life but don't have any with dividers. Easy to get a value pack though with all different sizes
Word. I normally have 1-2 large containers of stuff and just put that in a smaller container in the morning before work. Not something I really NEED but just seeing if any of you bros are loyal to some dope lunch box.
Oh I'm with you now, read that too fast. I'm like Capstone though, my lunch boxes are leftover Walmart sacks
I got a case of these in 8x6x1.5 back in July 2015 and I've still got about 60 left. http://www.webstaurantstore.com/cho...ht-container-with-lid-150-case/129MCS24B.html
http://a.co/bNAam13 I use these things. They hold poverty portions which is gr8 if you're trying to watch the ole waistline.
Went to the gym 3 days in a row. Did deadlifts on the 3rd day for the first time in 2 years. Won't be able to walk today. Should be great.
Ate hot chicken for lunch and I'm bloated as fuck. Bending over to deadlift sounds miserable right now.
What is everyone using for pre-workout these days? Just turned 25 and I'm losing my natural, youthful energy and just want to nap immediately after work.
I just have the optimum nutrition pre workout. Not sure it does too much but I know that if I drink it I won't say fuck it and sit on my ass like some psychopath.
Creatine gives me really bad vertigo... like, falling on the floor, can't move my head or close my eyes without puking, vertigo. And since most preworkouts contain creatine, I can't do them. So coffee it is.
lhprop1 what iron mind straps do you use? I got the strong enough ones but they seem too thin in the width.
Unless it's all a strange coincidence, it's just something I figured out. Every time I've tried taking creatine or a preworkout that contains creatine, it has triggered vertigo. After a few times, I kinda connected the dots, so I haven't taken any in about 2 years and have had zero issues. Other people have posted similar things across the internet, so it seems like it's definitely a thing.
Got this on sale Fucking dare the guy I'm renting a room out to to take my storage containers to work now
Getting coached or going to seminars done by Boris Sheiko now gets you a USAPL ban. These fucking people.
Hey guys. As many of you know I mostly run and cycle. I am looking for a good overall full body workout I can do about 3 times a week. I also need to know if I can and should do some cardio on days I lift and if should lift first or do cardio first on those days. TIA Don't Hate Me Bro! Hoss Bonaventure
In general, to keep it simple, when I first started I'd revolve my workout around major compound lifts and core work... -Bench press -Military/Shoulder Press -Row -Pull up -Squat -Deadlift -Core work (I do this on cardio days though) I do light cardio as a warmup and cool down (15-20m) on lifting days (jog, bike, elliptical), but anything sustained (30+min run) or high intensity (sprints, rower, assault bike) I do on "other" days, note I didn't say off days, off days I do nothing. Really depends how you feel. I'd rotate squat, bench, deadlifts (M/W/F) as my heavy exercise, usually sandwiching bench press on Wednesday.
Big fan of Strong Lifts 5x5 for all the reasons DHMB mentioned regarding compound exercises. StrongLifts 5x5 Workout by StrongLifts https://appsto.re/us/2oYhD.i It's very easy to stick to and track by way of the app.
