You’re in solidarity with a guy whose first post-lockdown impulse was to go out and eat at Waffle House. So, congrats?
I really have no issue with Whataburger. It is what it is, aggressively mediocre fast food like Jack in the Box. People from Texas pretending it's God's gift to man makes me fucking hate it.
This is my problem with In N Out. It's fine. I won't complain when someone else suggests it for lunch. However, all my west coast friends/family that tell me it's God's gift to man makes me shake my head.
That's fair. I like In N' Out's burger. It's good, well priced. That's it. People stanning for In N' Out are as bad as the Texas-Whataburger thing. It's fucking fast food.
Yeah, I guess gimmick hype beer sells. I’d take a good fresh hopped ipa from turning point or celestial any day. Pickle beer ain’t bad doe
Went right to Celestial after the Cotton Bowl. Took beers to the BYOB Laotian restaurant. They do great stuff.
Good choice. Co-best brewery in DFdub with Turning Point. I hear False Idol is good too but never been there
I at least give Martin House credit for leaning into the criticism they get on social media and being good natured about it, but it’s hard to take them seriously when they are putting out Cheeto flavored beer. i will admit to liking their Sweet Cherries lactose sour they put out a month or so ago. Bought some at the rec of the guy at my regular shop but I’m a sucker for anything cherry.
Their key lime pie sour was great. So was their barrel aged pickle beer. The Cheetos was terrible as expected
It'll be the most anticlimactic thing ever, because it's not that big of a deal. I can't say it, because it's not my place to say. I'm just hoping they start expanding to more places with some corporate changes that are being made.
The Whataburger Texas contingent is bad, based mostly on how cringey the whole Texas pride thing is to begin with. The thing that makes In N’ Out stans worse is that Whataburger people pretend it’s the best fast food burger created. In N’ Out people pretend the burgers are a culinary epiphany and that the chain should be awarded two Michelin stars based on a good fast food burger and dogshit fries.
If I did a blind taste test of an old fashioned cheeseburger (mustard, lettuce, pickles, onions) with Sonic & Whata, I don’t think I could tell the difference.
Keep on Stanning for a mediocre at absolute best fast food joint that reached its pinnacle 20 years ago and has been on a steady death march every since.
Sonic, Burger King and McDonald’s I could tell in a blind taste test and I haven’t had them in years. Those 3 all have different, distinct burgers. I’d throw Wendy’s in there as well.
