This is the official PC The Division thread. Beta is live. Leaving work a little early to start. I watched about an hour of gameplay yesterday on Twitch and am really glad that PC has no framerate cap. Dark Zone looks awesome. Max level in the story mode is 8 and Dark Zone is 11. Getting that max DZ level opens up the 5 shops there where you can purchase the best gear. Because crafting isn't available in the Beta don't disassemble anything or pick up anything for mats. Just sell your gear and such. For huge fans of the game, there are 4 videos Ubisoft sponsored videos made by YouTube powerhouses Corridor Digital, RocketJump, and devinsupertramp about the origins of the Agents in The Division. If you have Amazon Prime you can watch them all as a short movie there. Video links and more to come once I'm home from work.
Already reports or rampant hacking because most everything is client side and the servers just take the client inputs as truth. Going to be interesting to see if an Anti-Cheat is released otherwise the Dark Zone is going to be awful.
Will be watching this thread closely. Would love for this to be the first real test of my new gaming PC.
It will. It was amazing. I had 22 hours played in the beta. Most fun I've had in a game in a long time.
By Monday night I had the best gear and my buddies went rogue and the manhunt was on us. We climbed up to one of the buildings and no one could get close. It was so amazing. Game will be mad fun. All other games just pale in comparison for me now haha.
Same here we went into a choke point and nobody could touch us. 5 minutes of nerve racking and watching that timer.
I did. I thought it has some nice features, but the enemies are boring. Just a bunch of thugs in hoodies I didn't get to try co-op though
PC availability begins tonight at midnight. I'll hop on and play some tonight. I'm working half a day tomorrow and I'm off Wednesday so hope to get some good playtime in.
So will the style/replayability be like Destiny? What do you do after the story is complete? (Besides dark zone)
Lot of good info here: https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/comments/49bo4u/more_end_game_details_revealed/ I'd post snippets but I'm on mobile at work.
Interesting stuff. I'm intrigued by the game. Anyone else getting on PC besides jplaya and boom tittymilk?
Welp pretty standard launch night, server crashed about 10minutes in. Guess instead of being just tired as fuck at work tomorrow and thinking about the game, I'll only be thinking about playing.
Yep. Mine crashed as soon as I tried the first multiplayer mission. I went to bed. Will be playing a lot today and tonight and tomorrow.
Loving it so far. Did a couple of side missions with Boom TittyMilk (aka BigR). Co-op is going to be so much fun on this.
What is your uplay and/or steam name? I'll add you I'm Lebowski on steam (same avatar as TMB) ravis217 on uPlay
I assume nobody is posting bc they are too busy playing? I'm only 11. Just did a hard mission with Boom TittyMilk. Solid blues from that. The dark zone is so intriguing to me. I'm only rank 5 or 6 I think

Haha. Just hit 25 with my buddy. He's like 23ish. I love this game so much. I'm not even rushing through it but I've got some gear that has bonus XP gain on it plus the wing upgrades and it feels like I'm flying through it. I skipped a few zones almost entirely. The storyline is so good, partly because it's so disjointed with the missions, but also because of all the little hints you get with phone calls, missing agents, echoes, and reports. I've heard the end game so far is pretty good and the challenge mode missions are crazy hard. Excited to start getting some gold loot. I have a few purples now. DZ will be fun too. Can't wait.
The endgame content to this could keep me playing for a long time https://www.vg247.com/2016/03/03/the-division-free-post-launch-raid/
K/M in my opinion is always better in any shooter game, FPS or 3rd person. When they released the original Halo port into PC, they had a Texas LAN shortly after, and some random group of PC guys rolled a pro team.
Microsoft had to cancel cross platform shit because the PC players were massacring the console ones. http://gizmodo.com/5593116/were-pc-gamers-too-good-for-microsofts-cross-platform-gaming-project
