Rooting for him - he’s been a consummate professional for us, incredible play caller, great QB developer, and a good recruiter of offensive talent. If he can get a good DC, the hire is lights out
Arizona must be kicking themselves for jumping on Fisch when they could have nabbed another retread had they waited a couple weeks.
if you’re gonna drop the loot they’re about to on a buyout, there needs to be someone much better than sark atop that list and moneywhip the absolute shit out him
god i fucking hated tom he cost them several games by himself whoever hires him as their oc will be very upset
I don't disagree, but I'm sure some are either already on campus or plan to be soon. It's just an incredible disruption when you hear so much bitching from adults calling kids quitters for opting out or transferring
Like who? I’d like to see names. Everyone just assumes these schools can cherry pick whoever they want because of money, but that’s obviously not the case and hasn’t been since the TV supercontracts came into play.
Coaches almost never leave a power 5 job to a blue blood anymore. Illinois is paying bert $4m+/yr. Texas can’t moneywhip anyone anymore
i seriously thought he was the fit but two games into his second season i knew he was dumb and was off the train he was dumb and we played dumb fucking football after that second game i tried to stop caring about results and just watch football but the tcu game this year was hard to ignore he single handedly lost that game
That’s the thing. With as much disparity as there is in talent, everyone in the P5 still has piles of money to throw at coaches.
I honestly thought Sark might be a guy groomed to take over Bama when Saban retired. Feels like this might tell us Saban plans to coach for longer than we might think possibly.
I don’t know how many times y’all have to hear it from us Bams, he isn’t anywhere close to leaving. We’re back in the Natty and just signed the number 1 class in the country. Another decade minimum, he’s on the Bobby Bowden plan and will get forced out only after he’s forgetting his name and giggling at farting in bathtubs.
I think it tells us that, for all of Texas' problems the last decade, it would be insane for a coordinator (even one about to make $3.5M or whatever next year) to not take that job if offered. Not sure there's a reason to read more into it than that.
The end of USC certainly was but that is completely inaccurate characterization of the job he did at U Dub He took over an 0-12 program and made them competitive
