Washington was 12-47 in the five years before Sarkisian got there. He was 34-29 in his five years there, and he started at the height of Chip/Oregon and right as Harbaugh/Shaw/Stanford were coming on in that region. Disaster is an absurd way to describe his tenure there. You could make a decent case that he saved that program.
I would pay to see Gus at a practice coaching under Saban. Saban would have him crying before warmups ended
As out of the blue as this is, I can't help but feel robbed that we didn't get a long Texas coaching search if this Sarkisian thing really is a done deal.
Texas let a national championship winning walk out that door and hired Charlie Strong Tom Herman Steve Sarkisian to replace him Tobias
fortunately for them that coach they pushed out never coached again much less at a level that would lead to a major bowl game like the orange bowl or something
Nothing other than random names being thrown at the wall by message board posters that aren't insiders.
Blue chip ratio is the dumbest metric. UW has like 40 of them but check the notes and half of those 4* are ranked 300-350.
This is wild. Publicly backed the coach and said he will be the coach in 2021. So basically lied and decided to conduct a coaching search behind his back and only fired him when the new coach was lined up?
i’m pretty impressed by the lack of leakage from texas tbh in the words of mia wallace, when those little scamps get together they’re worse than a sewing circle
This was my reaction as well. Del Conte somehow kept Beaufort T Oilman from telling stories at the Petroleum club.
