simple procedure, I wouldn't think that rehab would be that hard. Google it, there's a shit ton of literature on in I'm sure.

i heard taking steriods can improve your recovery time.

You are a college pitcher, who just had tj surgery and you need TMB for info? Doctors haven't gone over things with you? No coaches or teammates for advice? Good luck man. Hopefully you can find a few people with good info that can help you. I have had a few friends get it and it is real frustrating.

I agree with the steroid comment. Test-e for ten weeks and you will be g2g.

this is a fairly common surgery, and i was under the distinct impression that it had a fast recovery time, and that in most cases the player comes back stronger then ever

10-15 months does not fit in with what i know about the surgery, but then again, your doctor >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> me

Gotcha. Good luck man. Won't be fun, but with hardwork you might end up better in the end. 10-15 months is a pretty normal recovery time table from what I have seen.

Does tommy john improve your arm strength? I know their are some guys that throw harder after they recover.

I was actually reading an article about it the other day because I know a guy that just had it. Here's the article, it has some quotes from Dr. Andrews

my best friend had it a few weeks ago and he is doing all of the rehab stuff now. He can't throw for 5 months but then can start light tossing. He doesn't take any pain mess though because his doctor told him you need to know if you are pushing it too much.
