Too old for festivals these days. Lol
No Parabola, Stinkfist, Vicarious, aenema, or 46&2?
I'll be pretty disappointed if they don't play any of those in Denver
It's only been 1 show but definitely a big surprise that there was so much rotation
It's definitely going to be a polarizing set list. If you've seen them a bunch, you've probably heard those all multiple times which allows them the time to play songs like Hooker, Right in Two, The Patient, etc. If you haven't, this set is missing some of their biggest songs and I definitely see how that would irk people.
I saw them once in 2019. I definitely like them mixing it up but you gotta play some of the favorites
What was the set list?
I also want to know and wasn’t sure where to look
Damn, people are complaining? That's a fucking awesome setlist. Goddamn.
Just seeing Pushit live might be enough to get me go
The Grudge and The Patient
Will be my first time seeing them live in March. I'm stoked for that list!
yeah Pushit, The Grudge, Hooker & Patient are all incredible live and ridiculously great additions (especially if you’ve seen the classics like 46&2, Stinkfist, Aenema etc many times before)
Saw them play the version on Salival. Possibly the best 10 minutes of any show I’ve seen
Same, way back in the fall of ‘01 just after Lateralus released. Such an incredible reimagining of an already great song.
Not a fan of slow Pushit. About the only 2 songs I want to see that I haven't are H and Ticks and Leeches.
Ok, Opiate? Hell yeah
I don't think anyone is complaining
Give electronic time
H is the one song I haven’t seen that I want to badly
Probably my all time favorite song and they haven’t played it in nearly 20 years
Forty Six & 2
Hooker With a Penis
Set list last time I saw Tool
The Grudge and Descending would make it worth ht for me. The last 7 or 8 minutes of Descending is some of their best work. Also, Pneuma is underrated af. Danny goes off on that song.
Who is underrating Pneuma? That sets the tone for the whole album, maybe the quintessential piece
Saw them in '01 with the weird performers for Schism. Was supposed to see them on 9/11, but something came up and the show got pushed a few days.
I think it's time to go back
I’m way overdue myself
So effortless and controlled for most of that. Finally breaks out in a big grin towards the end
Last show I saw. Bham 2019. We decided to go about a day before and got tix for about $35. Probably what I will do for any future show of theirs. I do want to go see them in New Orleans in early Feb though...
I’ll take Pushit or Third Eye all fucking day
They won’t play Ticks and Leeches
This was the set list I last saw
Found 2 tickets for lower level for $120 each for the Tulsa show. That’s the closest to me. They’re $550+ on ticket sites. Sadly, I don’t have any friends who like Tool to the level I do. Rip.
Do it anyway
I’ll go to a movie by myself, but not a concert.
I might be in the minority here but I really like Culling Voices and would love to hear it live, especially if it’s done in some weird, semi-acoustic arrangement like this. Just seeing them do something different and unscripted like this would be incredible. Also I had no idea Danny played other instruments
thought it was one of the better tracks on the album myself
also I'll 100% go to a concert by myself, not preferable of course, but no problem at all
Agree, especially if something similar to a Tool show that’s already an immersive experience
I’ve seen Tool several times live. Always a great show but I hope the upcoming concert changes the visual presentation a bit more. I feel like ever Show I’ve seen between 2007 to 2018 had only small amount of changes other than the song order and selection. Am I alone in this or do some of you have different experiences? I was spoiled and the first time I ever saw them live was at Bonnaroo with Tom Morello coming out to play Lateralus.
I wish they would drop some of the production for a more altered setlist tour to tour.
