Mourinho on Son's injury "We will have him back after the international break." so basically the week after October 10th. Not bad, but missing him for Man U sucks.
Stole my joke :) Mourinho on Dier "With Eric you can imagine what happened, to leave the pitch. I was just going to push him a bit as we had one player less. It was the consequence of what he did, tired, dehydrated. I cannot play him on Thursday or I would kill him."
Mourinho on Lamela "Coco was amazing. He was amazing. I cannot play him on Thursday though. I know why you ask about Erik Lamela, but so many players did so well. Eric Dier, what he did was superhuman. We needed him. Now he cannot play on Thursday."
More on Dier On going to get Dier back to the pitch, Mourinho was asked whether he was aware how difficult it is to pee with someone standing over you. Mourinho's response with a big laugh: "The problem was he wasn't peeing!"
not wrong, esp with the bit about frank not being quite so talkative when Chelsea are down 3-0. Sulking in a chair like a baby
whether it's taking a shit midgame or slapping fans with tears in his eyes, Eric Dier is a genuine fella
?? dude is nothing if not loyal and gives everything when he does play. he's a cunt but we need some of those.
This is insane. I’m thinking Davies saw his spot in the starting XI disappear right at this exact moment.
So I'm baking a big ol humble pie for Tanguy. Dude is a complete 180 from project restart. The thought of a midfield three of PEH, GLC and Tanguy with Kane, Son and Bale in front makes very happy.
Full game highlights... also thinking about the symmetry of getting knocked out by weak Colchester on penalties and doing the same to strong Chelsea feels like a good omen. Another sign of how far we have come.
He was great aside from the passage that led to their goal. He’s going to be a huge weapon going forward and he’s got the pace to get back into position on defense. I’m imagining Kyle Walker but with better instincts.
Just like I wasn’t done with Ndombele earlier this year, I’m also not done with Dele. You don’t just give up on players with that much talent.
I’m actually encouraged that Jose says Son is in doubt. Hopefully that means he won’t be out too long. I think it could be a bad hamstring injury like Kane’s.
Sounds like he’ll be back after the international break. Maybe a cameo Sunday, but I’d prefer not to risk it.
I still think we have a legit shot at Skriniar too. If we close the window with him and Vinicius, I don’t want to read any Levy bitching in this thread for a while.
Cannot believe we’re having this kind of a window. Honestly was content with Hojbjerg and Doherty, and was prepared to just live with those 2 as our signings. Add in Bale, Reguilon, and now Vinícius and this is beyond what anyone could’ve even imagined. Incredible
Expectations were set so low this window, and to pull out what we are doing and look at how little we paid to do it is truly amazing.
Vertonghen’s own goal that knocked Benfica out of the Champions League is the reason they’re selling Vinicius. A top lad through and through.
